Putin as well, Newt Gingrich, Former Guy, etc.

Thank you, he is not a goddamn inventor and I hate how people think he’s fucking Tony Stark. He inherited an emerald mine and just attaches his name to other people’s work. He’s basically a mix of Hugo Drax and Thomas Edison

Definitely worked better as a mini series you could watch in installments rather than all at once. It also helped to expand on Cyborg and Flash. Snyder still blows at doing anything related to Superman.

Your description suddenly makes me want to see Suicide Squad.

I think a big reason they fail is because they’re always long after the theatre production is at its peak popularity. For WSS it might have worked because it’s now a classic but for Cats the time to do that was in the 90's, same for Phantom of the Opera. Rent should’ve been 3 or 4 years earlier. Wicked should’ve been

I keep hearing that, it’s otherwise a masterpiece but it’s very long, and why HIM?

I love how it cuts to Ian yawning. I figured she survived as I never expected Spielberg to use a child’s death as black comedy.

I’ve never seen it but it’s telling how little people talk about it, how little he talks about it. They all want to forget it happened. Always too.

Yeah they put their work in to show how this could happen, though I think the entire family looks worse in comparison not because they forgot him, but because of how they treat him at the beginning. Kevin gets his room taken away, has to sleep with a known bed-wetter, Buzz eats his cheese pizza on purpose, Uncle Frank

If Robin were still with us I’d love a black comedy remake of this movie where this isn’t presented as anything but disturbing.

Yeah, future comedies like Big Daddy took all the wrong lessons from this film, that if you commit crimes and do horrible things involving kids, it’ll be fine if you’re a white dude, it’s out of love, and you learn your lesson. Most of them nominally don’t reward the sociopath parental figure (Sandler does not get

What’s messed up is he DID do all that, but felt the need to commit numerous crimes and lie to his family as well. As an adult I feel much more badly for Sally Field than Robin’s character.

It’s one of a handful of films I’ve walked out on. Not because it was THAT bad, it was just completely boring and I had zero interest in what happened next.

The CG is particularly bad in all of the scenes it’s in. With that it’s much more cartoony than other Indy films, which is especially more egregious because of how old he is by then.

The plot is extremely dumb, but the special effects are still amazing to this day. The spectacle was probably my favorite of the sequels. Jurassic World just gets too cartoony in comparison

I didn’t hate Crystal Skull, though you could tell the parts Lucas insisted on being in the film.

“I’m the Magic Man now.”

Ah, well he definitely should’ve told him. From experience avoiding telling someone something is always worse than the actual telling.

Their split mirrors the plot of Talladega Nights quite a bit, minus John C. Reilly stealing his wife....I think?

I could see this being really good
