Yeah the staying power of it is a good 10-15 seconds, so it’s perfect for that format 

Troma really gets on my nerves at times as someone who loves gross and offensive humor. My gross and offensive humor needs to have effort, and sometimes they just went for the laziest shock value possible. (ie: they joke about James Byrd Jr’s murder by hate crime and there’s no joke to it, it’s just loldecapitation) 

Brady Bunch is oddly groundbreaking in having a blended family. They tried to outright state that Carol was divorced but were shot down, too scandalous.

I mean as funny as this would be, Schwartz, the creator of the show probably had too much love and respect for it and the people who worked on the show to allow it to be butchered in such a way.

Same thing with the tired Blazing Saddles argument. The racists in the movie are 100 percent shown to be dumb for thinking that way. And if we truly couldn’t make Blazing Saddles anymore because of that content then why does Quentin Tarantino have a career?

The housing crunch is definitely a reason why people are driven to the houses, they can get nicer/cheaper rooms, sometimes singles in those houses compared to the cramped or nonexistent housing on campus.

Agreed, I work with both “white” and BGLOs and I hate when the cultural orgs get lumped into all this by mostly white activists who call for blanket bans of Greek Life. There’s a fundamental lack of understanding of just how much BGLO’s work in the community and are at the forefront of activism nationwide.

I had the same experience. I honestly would not be a feminist if I didn’t join mine, who regularly worked with the Women’s Center and LGBT office. 

I think that still puts the blame on the women for “letting themselves be raped” when the men should just, y’know, not do that.

For some reason I do remember those small things but have real trouble remembering names, directions or instructions.

I think she was supposed to be 18 in the first one, so 58 in 2018 when the last one takes place. Not impossible, but she’d be 40/42 (I think her GD is at least 16) when she became a grandmother. So yeah definitely possible, just on the younger side. 

I need to catch up on the 13th films. The first one is underrated dare I say, his mother is such a great character in her own right.

I didn’t quite get how she could have a teenage granddaughter but I guess both her and her daughter could’ve had kids pretty young.  It was weird she kept calling her “grandmother”, kids generally don’t do that.
