Spot on

My dad was hardly a feminist or cultural critic, but it even creeped him out.

For me it’s that there really isn’t a joke to it, it’s just him kind of rambling. Eddie Murphy made some horrific AIDS and gay jokes, during the freaking AIDs crisis, but it’s not really talked about I think somewhat because it was in the service of making a joke.

This is infinitely worse than the actual jokes he’s made, and for me the most unforgivable part of it. If he feels justified in making the joke, own it, don’t use a dead person as your shield.

I think that’s where it lands differently from other comedians who have done much more offensive things. He’s not even making a joke exactly, he’s just stating his opinion and rambling on as if being a 50ish year old man entitles him to lecture the world. Then doesn’t let it go. Family Guy/South Park has made much

I want to say certain comedian types looove to instigate, once they know something bothers someone they think its hilarious to get a rise out of them and see what results from it.

I’m not really for censoring, I just hope they make better decisions as to who does their comedy specials.

Paul always gets penciled in as a vanilla granny but he writes songs about violent murder with such wholesome glee. John’s Run for Your Life came off as 100 percent serious.

Yeah, I’ll defend Yoko the human being while not ever recommending listening to Kiss Kiss Kiss and hearing Yoko’s OhhOhhs

Gary Cole is a good choice for anything really

Any nostalgia show needs to be somewhat making fun of the era, the 50's nostalgia was pretty dangerous in hindsight and basically ruined Boomers.

Pen15 though I’m all about the early 00's mockery and the weird age differences in the cast.

Yeah, up until the mid-60's you still get that Johnny Rockets vibe. I’m always surprised to hear American Graffiti was in fact set in 1962 not the 50's

I keep hearing whispers of a reboot of Daria and I really hope it doesn’t happen, it just can’t happen again with the same integrity

Goldbergs and Everybody Hates Chris were perfectly cromulent That 80's Shows

Ross did run again in ‘96 and got a pretty big vote count for third party, but nothing near what he had in ‘92

Yeah I was done after Topher and Ashton left. I had learned from my mistake of watching later Happy Days post- Richie and Ralph (when it really got bad, the shark was honestly not the worst thing)

I just can’t see Ellie as a burglar
