EL JONESerino, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing...

There’s no way he’s leaving Red Bull. I think Dr. Marko would pay him practically any amount of money to stay.

It will always be Ericsson’s fault! ;)

When I read that I heard, ‘Stay on as title sponsor and pay us, or break the contract and pay us.’

Love the silly season! Here’s my guesses:

Whatever he does, he needs to race for his own team: Fernando Alonso Racing Team... and with that, I will proudly wear a FART hat.

I can confirm, as a former GM car-owner (50% of the ‘worst’ list), that they are wired for self-destruct. Before every major repair I debated between putting it out of its misery or fixing it...

Formula 1.5 is the most intense section of the field. Never enough coverage on race day.

It’s like the Sunstream ad in 30 Rock.

They FINALLY have a car that is as fast as is looks. Can’t wait to watch this weekend!

Don’t forget Scott Speed.

Great drive by Dix. Really entertaining race at Sonoma, too. That has definitely not always been the case, so kudos to IndyCar and the new race-y aerokit.

For sure. It’s gonna be a shame if Ocon’s not the F1 grid next season. Sounds like Toto is going to keep him in the fold to get him back into F1 eventually. Maybe Merc lends him out to FE until Ham retires.

To be fair, missing out on a ride due to a lack of email-savvy has got to be a lot easier than getting a ride and not getting past Bump Day... ;p

I’ve watched a bit of FE during Indy & F1 dry spells - it’s decent.

There are rumours about Buemi being tied to a Toro Rosso F1 seat next season, so they may need a new star driver. Bring in Jann Mardenborough, give him a winning car, and try and repair the embarrassment of the WEC LMP1 disaster? Not that FE is anywhere near the scale of a LeMans effort...

I say no. Stickers are for race cars and advertisements (tax write-offs).

That’s a totally fair point. ‘Broken’ is probably an overstatement, since F1 does seem to be improving in closing up some gaps in the field from where it used to be.

I would agree that F1 is broken, though, not because talented young ones miss out on rides, but because the cost of being competitive has shifted the competitive weight to engineering over driving. If you have the budget of Mercedes or Ferrari and are allowed to develope your engine and aero relatively freely, you

I 100% agree with you (also, begrudgingly.)
