Yeah police famously hate giving speeding tickets.

I’ve heard about him having “engineering education” but all I can find is that he has a degree in physics and economics, and dropped out of a PhD program for materials science after two days.
Ted Cruz has run for president like 40 times. He was born in Canada, and didn’t emigrate to the US until he was 4 years old. He has citizenship because his parents did, but he doesn’t even have the McCain defense (born on a US military base), he just straight up was not a “natural born citizen” or whatever.
Shkreli reminds me a lot of Elon Musk, in that he pretends to be something he is very demonstrably not, and somehow folks still buy it.
I doubt Taiki would be allowed to go full gloves off the way he did with his Marvel franchise, although maybe..
While what ultimately took him out was his own crew, I hope this means I never have to hear about this absolute goober ever again.
Wasn’t “Resistance” about regular folks in the SW universe? I never watched it but by all accounts it was pretty blah.
Malekith is definitely one of the worst parts of Thor: The Dark World, and I wonder a lot whether it was just the character being boring, or if Eccleston just couldn’t muster the energy to give a fuck.
I never finished it. It was a dull, nasty, dreary movie, and I mean taste is subjective, but I could never wrap my head around it, during the whole thing (before I stopped about 2/3 of the way through) I was internally asking myself “...people LIKE this?”
Yeah, that line just stuck out to me as confusing because I was trying to figure out how you can “telekinetically empathize and communicate” with someone.
Telekinesis is moving objects with your mind. Telepathy is mental communication.
While reading this I could not stop picturing Brad Dourif as Charles Jacobs. I think we need this.
LOL, what? Like, you’re not actually being serious right?
No ObamaCare plan that I’ve seen comes even close to matching the coverage and pricing off an employer healthcare plan. Not to mention that for its entire existence, ObamaCare has been in danger of being overturned with constant court challenges and legal battles brought by Republicnans.
Is the official name not “The Late Show”
It’s partially your average rube thinking they’re smarter than medical professionals, but the government bears a lot of responsibility for this. From whiplash messaging in the early days of the pandemic, to an overall anemic response to how to mitigate it, to finally throwing up their hands and saying official policy…
I think another huge contributor to lack of upward mobility in the US is the healthcare system, specifically tying it to employment.
You love to see it.
The US healthcare system, particularly the reality that the only reliable way to maintain healthcare (as long as you don’t get actually sick) is through your employer, is one of the biggest hamstrings to upward mobility of the individual in the US.
I just looked up this convoluted history, and how Sean basically has, in his own opinion, 4 dads.
