I had the honor of being in D.C. today for this march, and it was nothing short of phenomenal. The atmosphere was like nothing I’ve experienced before - with righteous anger in the air, it was equal parts inspiring, tragic and humbling. As I was watching these kids, most more than half my age, I felt humbled by their

While I disagree with most of your concerns regarding the characters and the pacing and what not - I personally have loved the break neck pace since Disco’s return, and all of the characters have very much grown on me - I have to agree with your criticism of the Klingon war arc and of Disco being a prequel. Some of

“So Sarek just forces mind melds on people now. I still find this weird as hell. I’m also not a huge fan of the way the cold open ends with Sarek dramatically saying “Captain Lorca… is dead.” We know. We saw it happen. This is no longer dramatic for us.”

I think what Villeneuve is referring to is profit, not total box office receipts. Blade Runner 2049 is going to lose money; whereas Moonlight and Lady Bird, despite not making as much at the box office, made money.

“After Jefferson raids Lala’s place—Henderson shows up and the police arrest him for the murder of LaWanda, which she accidentally recorded from her car”

“At the same time, I just don’t care that much about Stamets. The character has yet to endear himself, and I’m legitimately not sure if that’s the fault of the actor or the writing.”

The “dropped” bombs where accelerated down via magnets...so one less thing for you to complain about.

The tone issue is what makes me most intrigued. As bad as BvS was (though the director’s cut did at least make the story far more coherent), there was a very consistent tone throughout the whole movie. There were moments in Justice League that I could tell I was seeing something of Snyder, and others where I was

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind seeing what Snyder’s original vision was. Not necessarily because I think it would be better (unlikely, but possible), but mostly because I’m curious where Snyder was envisioning things going. I also would have loved to hear the Junkie XL score that Whedon replaced with the boring and bland

It always amazes me how a Doctor can grow on you. I was a huge Matt Smith fan, so when Capaldi took over it was a drastic shift in character that I really did not like him at all. In fact it took the better part of Capaldi’s first season (season 8 I believe) for me to even be OK with him as the Doctor. Well now, here

Because it’s a great homage to TNG and is actually a pretty decent show. It’s not perfect but any means, few shows are right off the bat (especially true for network shows), but there potential is there. I think most of the hate surrounding the show is less about the show and more about McFarlane.

I’m going to laugh when “Confederate” ends up being critically acclaimed - just as the Handmaiden’s Tale and Man in the High Castle are critically acclaimed.
