It was not that she couldn't afford the tuition.

They were both in the news the same day and I would not have thought to compare them if I hadn't read former Gov. Palin's remark about Bristol's "work ethic and heart for those less fortunate." I used only Bristol's own words and the facts from a police report.

The term "slut" came from the Anchorage Police Report. She was called something even more offensive which I chose not to include.

This "attack" might have something to do with Bristol stating on her personal blog in regards to Wendy Davis' grueling filibusterer:

In this future utopia, when someone runs red lights and drives 30-40 miles per hour faster than the bell curve, do they still get punished? You're a bit backwards, here. GG was created specifically *for* harassing women - at the time, it was specifically Zoe Quinn, although it quickly spread to 'everyone who GG sees as a "SJW" scumbag'. It was only later that others began to claim, "Nuuu, it's about game journalism! It's totally a righteous cause!" even…

If GamerGate supporters who aren't insane misogynist psychos want to continue on their quest to discuss and question gaming press, game devs, and game publishers' complex relationship... then go start a new title and a new hashtag.

Gamergate, first coined by actor Adam Baldwin, is an amorphous campaign that is ostensibly about ethics in video game journalism and defending the "gamer" identity but has come under fire for its links to a wave of harassment, particularly of women, in gaming.

The guy that I linked to above is not a "random guy". He's a journalist for the website Breitbart, and he was also one of the people accusing Anita of fake threats. If the person accusing her of this did the research and said she was telling the truth, what more do you want?

Isn't it obvious? They feel that their freedom is being diminished because she has a different opinion/point of view!

Anita has been accused of faking these threats and not actually making police reports before. The actual people who accused her of it found out themselves that not only was she telling the truth, she was also dealing with the FBI.

Yes they did, and that's how you and I know about it. We read reports in the press.

It's funny how this situation mirrors the extremism perpetrated against women every day in the middle east. We view ourselves as so much more civilized and accomplished, but then people do things like this... hatred and bigotry, it seems, can't be contained by national borders.
