Tip: If you’re on a tight budget, you’ll get much better quality images for your dollar if you buy prime lenses instead of zooms - assuming they’re available in your lens format, of course. Primes require more discipline when you’re composing your images, but they really pay off in quality.

If you’re shooting landscapes, forget APS-C - you need full frame.

I have a folio full of widely praised 20 x 30” prints shot on a 6MP DSLR. You’ll be fine with 12MP.

With a little care, 100-150DPI is more than enough quality for printing.
