I have to say, I agree with Mama June, to a point. If TLC gives the pretty, nice-haired, God-fearin’, Jesus-forgave-me family a pass on some truly heinous, tragic abuse.... after they canceled the crass, weird-looking, big ol’ hick clan for the same kind of shit? That is a gross double standard.

I want Jinger and Jana to move to NYC together. And do things like wear shorts and drink beer like common harlots.

I really fucking hope tons and tons of people read this and realize that assault is a serious thing, and for some reason we keep treating it as ‘women are just lying bitches’ and THAT’S NOT FUCKING OKAY.

It’s fascinating! On the one hand, Pratt’s persona has been kind, goofy, and innocent. We think of him and his flashing as entirely non-malicious. But his whole attitude of “I don’t understand how somebody could be so offended” speaks to so much fucking male privilege.

This is an interesting look into the pathology of how us Jezzies feel about a guy whipping his dick out. People seem to be amused, bemused, and/or ambivalent about Pratt doing it, but in a million and one other circumstances a guy who does this would be derided as a creep.

I want to defend her all the time because I feel like people turned on her just because she had the audacity to get older. But she makes it soooooo hard when she goes around calling herself “fun-loving and adventurous.”
