I was thinking how amazing it was that it hadn’t been defaced! I could muster up a few choice words to spray over that smug mug.

Nice! We will definitely make it a priority next trip. I think there was some Hello Kitty thing happening while we were visiting- or at the children’s museum maybe? Either way that wouldn’t have provided much incentive. :( he’s kind of dinosaur-bones-or-bust with the museums nowadays.
Please interject! I’m curious to hear from someone who is close to it- from what I read it did seem like a mess...very similar to NYC. I had a hard time finding folks with anything really positive to say about the Seattle public system- again, much like here in NY. Did you attend public school or private school? It…
We stayed right around the corner but never made it inside!! So ashamed. Got distracted by the playground (also wasn’t sure how engaging it would be for the kid) and kept thinking “it’s right here, we’ll see it tomorrow” Can’t believe we stayed right by all those great museums and didn’t explore any of them!
It is really a special place. I love the balance of urban space and green everywhere and the mountains (&volcanoes!) in the not-too-far distance. I need that balance. Even if I’m not hitting thetrails every day, knowing I could just duck out whenever I needed to and get away from everyone for a while is so comforting.
One can only hope....
It’s almost as if seeing all these cheery colors and symbols and *love* scrawled in sweet, bubbly cursive are stirring in me the polar opposite...
Reeeeally feels like an extremely cheerful, colorful FUCK YOU right there. :( it does need to go.
I would love to just live in Seattle but one of my prime motivators is getting my son set up in a solid school district so I don’t have to drive myself and everyone around me completely insane every couple of years over the public school system here (NYC). The school ratings are enticing on the Eastside. Also really…
I like that mural!
YAS.
Only thing worse than an Erica is a group of Ericas. Slinging cheesy art that is the instagram version of clickbait.
Wait whut? Why.
My eyes were so far back in my skull I'm surprised I could read your comment. It's reflexive, we can't help it.
Hi, so nosy, just elbowing my way in here. I was thiiiiis close to moving to the Eastside this year. Took a trip earlier this year to check it out but decided to stay in Seattle proper and told myself I’d drive over every day to explore bellevue and surrounding towns. Which, yeah obviously didn’t happen. We were…
So hard to get a decent pic though (guilty!) with the glare.
I loooove billy. I used to let my kid watch with me sometimes knowing it’s totally inappropriate and this clip slayed us both. As soon as I recovered enough to breathe again, I said “that’s a wrap. No more Billy” mom of the year over here.
Is this gif from togetherness? I am so pissed it was cancelled. Loved it.
I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment that education is too important to use to make a point.
