I think destigmatizing single parenthood and encouraging adoption agencies to adopt out to (good, stable) single dads is a great idea.

I would feel bad for a man if he got a woman pregnant and he wanted to keep it and she got an abortion, but I honestly wouldn’t feel all that bad and I would ultimately be on her side.

Obviously this man is whackadoodle. But if I was a man and I got a woman pregnant, and I really wanted the child and she didn’t, but I was willing to pay for medical expenses and be a single dad, and she was still like Fuck you I’m getting rid of these cells. Thats her right, but that’s really going to make me feel

Same. It actually bothers me more when people don’t write thank you notes for wedding gifts we’ve given.

Too bad it went down the rabbit hole, the actual story is really really delightful all around,

If my SO gave a kiss of support to a 55year old marathoner who started running at age 50 after surviving cancer who came up to him and asked, I’d be delightfully proud of him even if he slipped in a little tongue, go figure.

Thank you! And also, implying that the wife is mad after she said she’s not?! So we can’t believe what this woman says now? This article is awful - I almost forgot what site I was on...

By all reports from all parties, the runner approached a stranger, got verbal consent from him, and they apparently redid the peck 3 times for a good photo.

Through is the key word here....

Gorgeous for sure, but I’m not tooootally feeling the red-but-not-same-red bra underneath. I feel like either go with a skin coloured suit underneath or do a contrast colour. What I love about her is that she always has amazing posture/aura. Like she *is* glam.

I’ve seen a lot of girls in juvenile halls and that’s immediately what it makes me think of. That means the white girls too. That’s not what makes it racist. What makes it racist, is that this blogger used “going to jail” as a punchline which immediately exposes her as someone out of touch with the reality of mass

I don’t think the comment is so much racist as it is maybe just offensive and classist? I think she was (accidentally?) insinuating like it might be trashy? It’s a bad comment, let’s just say that.

Yeah, I think it was probably on purpose too. Wills and Kate don’t love the crazy publicity and they were smart enough to know that if they named their kid Diana shit would be insane.

I’m actually really glad they didn’t give her Diana as a first name. I feel like she would grow up in a very large shadow if they had (not privately with regard to her parents, of course, but publicly).

I second this. I think the amount of “royal baby” coverage by, say, People magazine has more to do with the ease of churning out stories than the actual level of interest among readers. It has some novelty, but I wouldn’t say there’s much more interest in it than in an A-lister’s baby—there are just so many ceremonial

This was an enjoyable read.

i made this same point

FTR: any student in the 5 colleges (smith, hampshire, mt holyoke, amherst, and umass) can take classes at any of the schools. Most courses require the approval of the prof but plenty of men take classes at smith and mt holyoke. The issue here is who smith is recognizing as “women”. Smith college, welcome to the 90s.

No, guys aren’t going to just claim to be a woman so they can get in.

Okay folks, it’s time for another round of “No, That’s Not a Thing.”

Or, ya know, the men can just enroll at UMass-Amherst and sign up to take courses at Smith College. As they have always done for years now.
