You have to go at the right time of year. We’re going to Paris and London at the end of May and our tickets aren’t nearly that expensive - but we booked a long time ago and have been planning the trip for well over a year. And there are definitely cheaper times of the year to go than in May.

For us, this trips is a

I did. My periods were always really easy with some minor cramping. So I was like “eh, even if they’re worse, how bad can they be?” They’re MUCH heavier and I spend much of the first two days popping 800mg of ibuprofen. I randomly start cramping 3 days before the bleeding even starts and I think I’m going to switch to

I hate my copper IUD. It makes my periods crazy and painful. And right now I am mysteriously two weeks late.

I think I’ll switch to Mirena and deal with the hormones when this guy is up.

I don't get bottles of water all that often, but I just know that every time I've tried to get in that habit I just can't do it. I always forget, and if I do remember I don't know where to put it - I don't want to lug it around in my purse, that gets heavy. I'm rarely carrying a backpack.

If she's forgetting to bring the old one, what makes you think she'll remember a real reusable one?

I sometimes reuse ziploc bags depending on what they were used for - like a bag of frozen veggies once opened I'll stick in a ziploc to keep contained. But it's still in the original bag, so it's not getting the ziploc gross. I don't wash them though.

A shithole?! I ate there all the time in college. I'm bummed to hear about all of this.

Oh, I wouldn’t consider CDs as “investing.” It’s a slightly higher-interest savings account that you can’t take money out of. Which by nature means they’re probably not good for an emergency fund.

I think we kissed after the vows, but before the rings? I honestly can’t remember now. It was awkward.

I married the first guy I slept with. Just kind of worked out that we never broke up. But we boned long before we got married.

Well I’m not going to invest my emergency fund. That defeats the purpose of an emergency fund. If the market tanks and you need to withdraw your money, you’re screwed.

What do you mean early withdrawal fee? Like short term capital gains? Or are you talking about retirement accounts? We’re maxing those out already, but

At our rehearsal, the coordinator said the priest wouldn't say that bit. But that we could kiss, just on our own. We thought for sure there was no way we were supposed to remember when to do that.

Or Boston!

My mom (Catholic) was 5 months pregnant at her wedding to my dad. Less than a year earlier she was engaged to a different man. 11 months after my brother and I were born (twins!) my sister was born.

It was very obvious none of us were planned and I'm sure my parents were terrified.

Just wondering. A year’s worth of my take home as an emergency fund seemed high to me, but both combined just seems like a huge waste of opportunity cost (investing vs. sitting in a savings account). You’re right though that you run the risk if both people lose their job at the same time, but you also shouldn’t really

We take a similar approach with our savings at a different bank. I keep checking at Bank of America for the convenience, but our savings is with Capital One 360 so we get a much higher interest rate. I still look at it, but it takes a few days to transfer, so I don't treat it as an extension of my checking account

Do you have a partner? Would you keep your combined net pay if you did?

I never used a laptop bag in college. I felt it was cumbersome and clunky and I preferred (and still prefer) a backpack. Mine has a special slot for backpack.

And I’ve never used a mouse with a cord. I’m not a gamer.

You’re insane.

I didn't put my registry information on my invite or save the date and had no issue. And no, gifts are NEVER required. Just because an invite doesn't say "no gift please" (which I would never do, because that assumed gifts are usually required) doesn't mean you have to bring one. You never have to.
