sorry i understand the hesitancy but it’s time to move on and get back out. get your vax shot and start doing the things you were doing before and that you want to do again. if things change again and we need to lock back down and cancel everything again, then we will. but in the meantime, the time has come to plan…

Wow, in the past I’ve been frustrated about having to watch an ad for something else before I can watch the entertaining ad for a movie that I wanted to see. But I do have YT Premium (or whatever it’s called) now, so if I want to see an ad for a movie, I can’t, because it’s only available in the ads for other videos.…

I do love that after a generation of fighting so that artists could use language, including slurs, in their lyrics because they insisted that it was art and they shouldn’t be censored, many of the same people are now okay with gatekeeping and punishing people for... singing along to those same lyrics. I think we overestimate how much cultural knowledge kids have at 13-14. In some ways and in some subjects they may have great sensitivity and depth of knowledge, but in other ways they’re still completely products of their environment and they can’t know what they don’t know.

Thank you. If people don’t want people using racist slurs, STOP PUTTING THEM IN YOUR SONGS. Just because I sang along with Dire Strait’s “Money for Nothing” when I was 13 (because I am old) does not mean I used gay slurs at people in a harmful way.
