Giorgio was on last night’s episode of Resident Alien on SyFy. That show has gotten pretty fun and funny. I don’t know why we’re not talking about it on io9.
Nothing to see here. It’s just Optimus and the gang.
I loooooooved this show until it went completely off the rails with the fairies and werepanthers and whatnot. I still watched it until the end, but my love faded into a comfortable habit.
Why does he look like an extra on the set of Son’s of Anarchy? Or a scammy preacher from a tent revival church?
What a walk down memory lane — it seems so recent but so long ago! I was a diehard True Blood viewer. My friends would even get me True Blood swag as gifts, like a set of pint glasses brand with Merlotte’s, Fangtasia, and Bon Temps, LA logos. We had a blood-themed part for the series finale.
Why these Black men, in particular, allowed themselves to become race fodder, I don’t know,
Probably, but I thought the actual content mattered a bit more, such that full text made sense.
Thank you very much for that, it’s always good to have knowledgeable people around to correct false or biased statements.
Thank you, Whiggly, for a great response to the race inciting article.
R/askhistorians, which is largely written by professional historians, had an assessment of the theory earlier this week, and the overall impression I got is that tipping is about as tied to racism and slavery as moveable type is to antisemitism:
Probably, although it’s hard to say. Sauron is of the same level of beings that serve Ilúvatar as Gandalf, (The Maiar) so perhaps he’ll look like a pleasant but wise old man. Sauron was a student under the Vala Aulë the master craftsman, (The Valar are a level of beings above the Maiar in the hierarchy under Ilúvatar) …
Considering the incredible quantity of high quality original content -- that I’m enjoying with my entire family -- in just the first year of the service’s existence, I’m very comfortable with a price increase.
It already is a nightmare.
I mean, I’m certainly open to learning how and why this would be a nightmare, but yeah, it would’ve been nice to see that explained in the article.
Says it will be a nightmare in headline. Provides no nightmare, or even mildly negative scenarios in article.
... and instead switching to a model of identifying individual writers to provide with “deals, support, editing, and feedback.” (Because that’s working so well for Substack?)
Ummm, the call is coming from inside the house. Leave now!
