To be 100% fair to Esper (HA HA HA wait, lemme finish) I don’t think he released his resignation publicly, it was leaked. Of course,  he is an adult who chose to work for Satan, so he deserves any discomfort he may accidentally bump up against.

Don’t forget that we now have two nations: one contains people, the other contains lunatics who have never outgrown dress up and pretending that their invisible friends are real.

I mean, it doesn’t really matter. A politician’s concession does not decide a race. The number of votes does. A concession is a nice thing to do, and may save resources in some circumstances, I guess (?). But it’s not necessary (or even sufficient), and if someone wants to be an asshole to no particular end, let them.

By the way, as an addition to the Pennsylvania count, they haven’t even started with the provisional ballots. In a way, I understand why the Trump campaign as hard as they are as while nothing is impossible, things do look pretty catastrophic for them in Pennsylvania.

The next three months will be treacherous.

Anyone talking about ‘reconciliation’ and ‘healing’ already has no understanding of reality. Trump is not going to quietly disappear here. His followers won’t quietly disappear. A Republican-controlled Senate will reap the benefits of a Republican-controlled Supreme Court; President Biden will be too busy - if he does…

Good god is that this weekend? Time is so irrelevant anymore. This would be the perfect year to get rid of that archaic system. 

I’m working at the polls, which should keep me distracted and unable to watch results trickle in. By time I get home at 9:00ish Mountain time, I’m hoping for promising news from the Eastern time zone (although I am not counting on anything being decided Tuesday).

I don’t think the election will be called on Tuesday.

I’m so stressed about this election I’ll probably be in an all day state of panic but hoping to avoid allll the coverage and just listen to podcasts until things get better. Ha.

Good things have happened this week. I went to a virtual Halloween wedding(Hooray for love!), I finally made a good yeasted loaf of bread(Thanks, Paul Hollywood!), and I decided to start taking something for my depression(Here we go again, wheee).

It is nice to see young people engaged in the process, and it is especially good to hear from young allies in swing states, but let’s not get the idea that all young voters are thinking like the rest of us.
