I’m starting to think that maybe video games aren’t the best thing to base a movie on.  :o

They could change sonic’s horrifying face, but the real horror was inside the movie all along!

I think everyone expected that this movie was going to be fundamentally broken at its core but it’s still a bit disheartening to see after they took the character design criticism to heart

And arguably the breakout character of the CW DC slate, also arguably the best original creation of the CW shows too.

It only took DC eight movies to include some main characters that are explicitly not straight. (This sounds like a backhanded compliment until you realize the MCU still hasn’t gotten this far.)

One of whom (Caity Lotz) is arguably the lead character.

I know they mentioned “All of the CW’s DC slate” but I am still a bit sad that Legends of Tomorrow didn’t get a specific call-out for having multiple great queer characters. And also being awesome.

Deadpool is pansexual, Valkyrie is bisexual, Ayo (one of the Dora Milaje) is involved with another female Dora Milaje, and Wonder Woman is bisexual. All of those are canon in the comics.

Wasn’t the first one kind of toothless as well? I’m not saying that to be negative... it’s just that the original didn’t really reinvent the wheel with anything either. It just offered a solid production on all accounts.

Well high school is a generally universal experience and romantic comedies barely exist anymore.

Circumstances were different, and even playing the ‘both sides’ thing to not be seen as biased still led to the entirety of white America to rush out and vote in the most racist and deplorable white man they could find.

I did read them, one thing they were written at about 8 grade levels higher than trumps speeches. They were demonstrably not as filled with lies and he did not constant make up silly belittling lies about people in those speeches.

There’s nothing I love more than being told by the media and bad faith right-wingers that we need “heal and come together” with a bunch of insane assholes who think climate change isn’t real, healthcare isn’t meant for poor losers, throwing terrified brown kids in cages is totally fine, and that things like laws and…

... extreme views on both sides ...

I can’t wait for in the Heights. It really shows how great Lin Manuel-Miranda can be, going from a close-knit community to American history, all while still making sure to insult John Adams as much as possible.

Completely bizarre date—I was salivating to see this and I still almost missed opening weekend because it just snuck up on me. Next weekend also would’ve been great since it’s ostentatiously a break-up movie and companies love advertising Valentine’s Day to people who hate their exes.

For example, if Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn was going to interact with Batman, would that be Ben Affleck or Robert Pattinson?
