Who said she hates this shit?

Very happy for Brad. I just wish the blu-ray came with a nice long b-roll of him just driving around. I swear I could watch an hour-plus of that. Now, throw in a few more variant takes of not quite able to pick up Margaret Qualley drive-by’s and I’d never ask for anything ever again.

True, but the fact that it’s a mystery movie being written and directed by Rian Johnson does. (Assuming he's doing those things.)

Knives Out was a great movie because of the way all of its parts fit together, IMO, not because Benoit Blanc was particularly interesting. Transplanting Daniel Craig’s character into an entirely new story doesn’t give me any special reason to expect that it’ll be good.

Mad Max, maybe.

The idea of a movie franchise centered on someone who is essentially a supporting character in each film would be a pretty cool idea. Is there any franchise this could plausibly be said about? Maybe Jaws, in that the shark isn’t really the main character?

Knives Out was my favorite movie of last year.

Tracking has it making about $32-35 million this weekend on a $75 million budget. Not terrible, but since you gotta make back all the advertising and whatnot too, I think this one might see its biggest profits on home video.

Definitely agree with you about the action, those were some of the best shot action sequences of ANY comic book movie. Ever. Still not super into the whole aesthetic they are going for but I did think it worked better here than in "Suicide Squad". But that being said, yeah the action definitely elevated it for me and

Not gonna lie, I probably might have finished Sabrina if it was in easily consumable 10 minute chunks. That show has neat ideas in bits and bursts, but it doesn’t have the legs for drawn out, hour long episodes.

I thought it was entertaining, certainly the action scenes were more well-done than i expected. If it is not financially successful, i would blame that on the R rating. While there is a lot of swearing most of it could’ve been toned down to make it PG-13 without the movie really suffering much. Ditto for the violence

I get the feeling this show would be slightly different if Stranger Things didn’t exist.

I dunno, really. For me, it’s more a smattering of small stuff. I did like in BvS where they’re showing the Cavillman/Zod fight from ground level, and Batfleck is running around doing shit. That was kinda interesting and fun. I liked the early days of Clark realizing who he was in MoS with that gorgeous score playing

“This ain’t your Daddy’s ______!”

I’ve never been so happy to see an era of ‘popular’ films die off than the earlier days of Zack Snyder’s DC universe. It’s a short era with really only four movies in it (MoS, BvS, Suicide Squad, and Justice League), but man, thinking back, there’s probably only about 30 minutes of those eight-ish hours of films that

Thanks, I hate it!

I’d rather watch Batman & Robin again.

Annnnnnnnnnd I've stopped caring.

I honestly think this was a case of “very dumb heart in the right place.” But, yeah- promote actual black writers, rather than making Frankenstein black.  One would think that’s a no-brainer.

At first I felt like yeah, this is a clearly bad idea that should have been rejected very quickly but is on some level maybe well-intentioned. Then I got to the statement at the end, and realized the idea was “You know what’s a great way to celebrate Black History Month? Direct people to white authors who were writing
