Because the psychopathic traits that shareholders love in companies/CEOs (adherence to one thing [money] at the expense of everything and everyone else, lack of basic morality/empathy, treating people as numbers instead of human beings) are the exact same traits you’ll see espoused by Ayn Rand?

or pirate, tbh

This is where I’m at too.  I’ve a few books to read.

Netflix’s practices aside, isn’t it victory enough we got two seasons of a weird and experimental show like that? The show is not a failure because it was cancelled, it was cool that the original season was made in the first place and that they got to revisit it one more time. I can’t imagine we’d get anything but

It seems like it’s just going to turn into Cable-but-it’s-internetz-now, where I have the 10 shows I’m interested in, but I still have to spend $150 a month if I want access to all of them.

Supernatural should end with the sun exploding. It would be pretty damn funny, honestly.

A good reason a lot of those got canceled is that they sucked. American Vandal shouldn’t have been picked up for another season because while season 2 was good, much like Serial and Making a Murderer, it showed that shows like this really aren’t meant for multiple seasons, and the end of Season 2 is as good of an

Why?  I don’t own NFLX stock but if I did i’d much rather have them keep those numbers secret.

Speaking as someone with two parents who provided our livelihood through Hollywood, there are pretty much two reasons in my experience that a show gets cancelled (if anyone else with industry experience can help make a longer list, feel free):

Seems like a good idea.  Kind of surprised the role didn’t already exist.

What gets me with the Rosanne comments about how “just one little tap on her phone” got her fired.  Rosanne has been saying stupid shit for years.  Rosanne was hell to work with on the set of her show the first time and I bet we are going to find out in a few years that she was no angel on the revivals set either.

*Cough*Kanye*cough*

“If you say a wrong thing, or do a wrong thing? It’s amazing, that this [social media and the internet] has become a portal for so much pain. But I do think, in the larger perspective, if you zoom out, this is all very positive. I think, mostly, about the victims of these things, they’ve got so much more of a platform

What did he say that was so egregious? Did he defend Louis CK or Roseanne? No. Is saying that as society still haven’t found our equilibrium when it comes to the power of social media a horrible or offensive statement? No.

To be fair, this a New York Times interview where he just seems to be trying to give honest answers to the questions posed. It’s not like he’s tweeting this or issuing press releases with his opinions.

I’m still trying to get over all the articles that (once again) duped me into thinking Hereditary was the “scariest” film in ages.

Whoa, why the unnecessary dissing on Susanne Bier?

Forget producing, get LeBron in the hockey mask. “He’s got to be four or five inches taller than Hodder and is built like a brick shithouse - turn him loose on those kids!

Starring one half of the Supernatural no longer boys but approaching middle age brothers. Yes. And the other brother took a turn in My Bloody Valentine 3d in 2009.
