Great, thanks... now I have to listen to that track for the millionth time. As I said: great, thanks!

Ooh, nicer than expected.

Netflix’s cancelled-after-one-season “Everything Sucks” had a similar concept (ie. teacher x avclub x drama club) but didn’t resonate with audiences without the prestige and nostalgia associated with a phenomenon like The Goonies.

The live action version of Aladdin follows the same plot as the animated version - for the most part - but the similarities are exaggerated. Jasmine has a much more substantial role in the live action version and adds an exuberance and ambition that eclipses any other character in the film.

Wasn’t the first one kind of toothless as well? I’m not saying that to be negative... it’s just that the original didn’t really reinvent the wheel with anything either. It just offered a solid production on all accounts.

Yes, Sabrina is very specific in its mood; it’s one of those shows that requires a cold, rainy night with no plans, a warm blanket, and comfort food/drinks ready to go. It’s a good show, but it’s yet another Netflix show that needed around 10 minutes shaved off of each episode.

Well, it’s not, is it? This is only service of its kind. If anything, streamers tend to elongate their shows in hopes people won’t traverse over to Youtube or Tiktok.

Nobody is watching it live anyway. The delayed ratings are OK and given they extended the episode order for the season, I think ABC will renew it. It certainly deserves it. Really turned out to be a delight of a show.

WB and Netflix still work together on some projects, though. Most recently, AJ and the Queen, which was released a few weeks ago. They also have Sabrina and Titans. The CW deal ended last year, but some of their shows will still end up on Netflix, so the relationship hasn’t soured yet.

I love that the creator used the phrase “made total sense” in reference to anything Riverdale.

When I watched Captain Marvel in cinemas, I thought it was a solid buddy-action flick. I didn’t think I’d remember it well, especially after the bigger comic-book events of the year, but I find myself remembering the film better than almost any of the other comic-book films of the year. (Same feeling for Shazam,

It’s like you’re typing words straight from my brain, tbh. Completely agree about Daphne, especially, and the Gilmore Girls comparison is absolutely spot on to the point where I’m surprised I’d never considered it. Perhaps my brain has erased the worst of the show. Thank you, brain. I think Daphne getting

This service will also stream “One Of Us Is Lying”, based on the YA thriller novel of the same name, which I enjoyed. Also, a reboot of “Queer As Folk” is coming to this service. I’ll check that out, too.

I enjoyed both seasons, especially S2, and didn’t think I’d be that excited for S3, but I’m oddly anticipating this one. Sabrina has what I initially watched Riverdale for, and very few shows on TV harness that eerie, supernatural vibe well.

I discovered it via Switched At Birth, too. I miss that show, but The Fosters was overall much better. I still rewatch it when I’m under the weather. I never got into the other ones. ABC Family, like Freeform, had/has a habit of killing their shows off too quickly.

I was just rewatching a bit of S1 last night. Great show. Hope it does well enough for at least a few more seasons.

Absolutely loving this show. Raw, heartbreaking, and hilarious at the same time. I wish Netflix would have shaved a few minutes off of each ep, but I’d love to see it back for a second season.

Alex has talked about how the Standards department arbitrarily micromanaged the living hell out of Gravity Falls. In particular, they blocked him from including a lesbian couple on the show (via phone, so there would be no email trail) and would force him to reshape puddles and mountains and other outlines in his

I meant is creating a new Lizzie Mcguire that complex, lol. I love The Bold Type, and have been a fan of The Fosters since the beginning. Good Trouble is amazing. I’m really rooting for a S3 renewal, but I’m unsure since Freeform cancels shows quite freely and the live ratings are only OK.

The creator of Amphibia also worked on Gravity Falls. It’s interesting that Disney kept a lot of talent from that show despite treating the actual show and its creator poorly.
