Good lord not even. A generic store brand isn’t going to take the time to slice the potatoes so thin they’re basically tracing paper.

I rather like a good, raw, roast beef cold cut. With horseradish sauce? Hell yeah.

same.

That’s pretty typical to want to scramble and “fix” the relationships we’ve damaged as soon as possible. Who wouldn’t want to? But when it’s too soon any attempt won’t mean anything. For all its other faults I do have to agree with the 12 steps that the program of AA has as they’re out. It’s truly brilliant and really

It’s a pretty special little town!!

God that sounds like such an awful situation for everyone involved. I really really hope she gets the help she needs before it’s too late (gets a DUI, kills herself or someone else, gets taken advantage of or worse). I’m grateful that the “worst” I’ve ever done is caused grave emotional damage to those that care about

Congrats on your abstinence! I can only abstain either (just wrote a long post to someone else where I touched on this). Sinclair Method curbed my intake for sure, but I’m way too much of a danger to myself and others with any amount of alcohol in my system (ranging from regrettable texts to leaving the oven on to

hooray!!!

I had to cash out my 401k in 2011 :(

I do still have a retirement plan in addition to social security though since I had just made it past the 7 year mark at my last company. It’s not much. Something like $500 a month after I turn 65. No way in hell I’ll make it that long though so it’s kind of a moot point.

I’m so terribly fucked. I owe more than $35k let alone have that much saved.

Might I suggest San Diego, then.

Yeah that haircut’s not doing him any favors.

I should amend my previous comment.
