Nah, Super Mario RPG spawned Paper Mario. The Mario & Luigi series is its own thing. That said, Mario & Luigi is probably closer to Super Mario RPG than Paper Mario is, so if you dug that one, I’d give Mario & Luigi a shot - it’s on the WiiU Virtual Console, and it’s one of the best games the GBA had to offer.

I could never remember the weapon triangle, but I noticed in this game (dunno about any of the others) they color-coded the weapons - now the weapon triangle is the same as Pokemon, where green beats blue beats red.
