Thats a shame, I liked it. There are plenty of more informative pieces on here you can read if you prefer, but don’t expect the authors to only write that type

Come on pal, we come to jalopnik for interesting journalism, not the new york times. She’s not gonna write about sputnik in an article about a driver handbook

I’m embarrassed to say I’ve done exactly this. Reversed my car into a cement planter at force while moving into my new house on a hundred degree day with a hangover.

The leather over dense foam on my Subaru outback steering wheel has always seemed like it exists to be bitten.

You’re very right. Especially a base Camry. What always strikes me is the disconnected feeling with the road. There’s a farty thrum from the engine and a corresponding tug forward, but it might as well be on the back of a tow truck.

That half a second or so when you know you’re done is the worst. Your mind goes everywhere except how to get you out of the situation

Wait you sold the legendary Baja? Where have I been

Hmm, I get sweaty pits when I drive for some reason but never palms

This ad just makes me want a red ef like that one

The ej25 still had head gasket issues till 07 I believe. It manifests as an external leak from model year 2000 on though for the most part, which is less severe.

That’s just up the road from me... I have $550... And a garage bay... SOMEONE STOP ME

My h4 2000 just chugs along. I’ve had a trillion small problems, (numerous roof leaks, steering shimmy, tie rod, oil leak, dash rot, cracked paint...) but it never lets me down. The amount that are still rolling around must mean something. It was at a time that Subaru was learning how to be a big company, they had the

Unrelated, but this article and some others on Jalopnik have been flashing black on my phone screen recently. Which is annoying because I like to read Jalopnik while I poop. Has anyone found a solution to this?

Didn’t subaru used to make the argument that frameless windows mean that they can add the extra metal to the roof line instead, bracing the body? I’m not sure how that led to lower crash ratings.
