It sounds like your friends are all financially well off.  When I was starting out just after college, I was not about to pay for your expensive bottle of wine and would drink water or iced tea at dinner because that was all I could afford.

If you are going to split the check, it tends to be a lot easier on your server if you request that at the beginning of the meal, so if that is your plan, let them know up front.
