ehhh... I shall continue to avoid all of the above. :)

Huh?
Nope... :( Just a regular old TJ D30. Getting an HP in 3.73 would be nearly impossible since that would have to come out of a towing package XJ (which would have also had a 44 in the back) and just about everyone has already grabbled all of those up from the boneyards.
Am I like the only guy on the planet that really doesn’t mind working on drums? What’s the deal. A few springs, some grease, a couple of clips, no problem.
Current put off project: TJ front axle swap
I agree with you on that. They should have let the blower be front and center. I was arguing that the notion of the clear hood was way cool, not the stupidity that they did under it.
My buddy had an ‘83 (I think... Maybe ‘81?) 900 and the repair costs, and frequency, on it were actually pretty reasonable by foreign car standards... That was still about 3x greater than the ‘86 Monte Carlo he replaced it with. This was all during the mid-late ‘90s.
Is it any cheaper to convert it to JDM bumpers or is that the same thing?
I couldn’t walk away from that setup. ;)
This is an artifact of US 7mph (maybe 5, maybe 10?) bumper regulations so it was tossed on there as an after thought due to the bumper shocks.
Legit reason. I was actually defending you there.
Gotta confess I was looking at it as if I was going to own it and I typically perform all of my own labor. Counting labor it could easily cross $5k. Hell, it’d probably cross $1k in towing alone.
I agree, but 1 second 0-60 may as well be an hour. It’s a huge difference.
Students of the University of Stuttgart had enough of the fact that the electric acceleration record ended up on the shelf of students from ETH Zürich and Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, so they built their own racer that was good enough to beat them by a mere 0.006 seconds.
That would not at all surprise me. Man’s primal need to prove who’s conveyance is better, by showcasing a A-to-B speed contest is even stronger than man’s desire to try to get high off of literally anything.
I would bet you serious money that the first race in history, that first time the only 2 dudes with cars in the same 100 miles of each other saw each other, they had a drag race.
Is there an option to lease? I’m a bit shy of the purchase price...
