I currently have a 1650 and a 149.. Also have a set of weights. :)

Yeah, I know. In fact, they DIDN’T use salt in Japan. Most of the island has fairly mild winters so they knew nothing of our rustbeltiness. 3” of ice just wasn’t on their minds.

In the 80s drive ins still had teathered speakers on poles.

I had a neighbor, in the rust belt, that bought a mid 80s model brand new. No joke, before the decade ended it rusted directly in half. It was scrap at like 4 years old. Things must have been painted with salt based paint.

Sorry if this has already been stated.

He has literally been documenting the failures with it, here on Jalopnik in articles, and he’s racked up an impressive amount of repairs in fairly short order. I wanna say $5k+ in about a year. Sometimes his trips to the dealer were like watching a race at Taladega. In the shop, out of the shop, in the shop, etc.

Couldn’t you cut them a break for all of the Rover charity? Those guys gotta eat too.

The example of YouTube comment above is both too friendly and gramaticaly too well constructed. Otherwise, I agree.

I also had keys to an empty house from my junior year forward. I never had issues with locations for that. We mostly used the van to clam bake on back roads. Couldn’t let the smell of that permeate a structure.

I have a friend who is wheel chair bound and on her 3rd van now.

Do the windows look kinda dark because it’s filled 4’ high with crack rocks?

As a current 5.0 owner and previous driver of a few cvans: NOPE! You’re way wrong. All you needed was a friend with a cvan. Let them deal with the downsides of it for the 4-5 days a week when you weren’t hanging out.

Well... They’re not wrong. I think all of us 3rd peddle riders have been there.

You push started a Toyota over multiple mountain ranges in the first movie. A crank start car should have been a pleasant upgrade.

In the most literal sense.

AAA RV Platium is $150/yr and will tow anything 200 miles. RV+ Is about $100/yr and will go out 100 miles. Problem solved.

That was sorta my point... 10 years old is too old to be predictable in most cases. I’d rather have a “new” 20 year old car than a “used” 10 year old one.

Can provide, literally.

Hard to say if it leaked as much as the GMC or not, but it certainly looked better.

Despite the fact everything about it would destroy truck for most practical purposes, I have always loved absolutely everything about The Fall Guy truck, including the bedside storage locker.
