“110 years is a lot.. but he forever ruined the lives of 4 or more families.”
“110 years is a lot.. but he forever ruined the lives of 4 or more families.”
I don’t think #4 is really relevant when even those families apparently agree that 110 years isn’t warranted.
... and this is why the “tough on crime” mandatory minimum sentences (which always seem to end up equalling “life in prison”, somehow) are simply bad public policy.
Zero tolerance is zero tolerance.
The nearest runaway ramp would be miles before this back up in hte foothills. He was hitting the western side of greater Denver rush hour traffic. Its a parking lot there every day at that time other crash or not.
Mandatory minimum laws are obscene in all instances.
Did this guy fuck up and deserve to go to jail? Certainly.
Holy shit, child rapists, murderers and other far more horrible people get far less time than this. Did this guy fuck up and deserve to go to jail? Certainly. Does he deserve 110 years, not even close. Total failure of the system here so far.
Tokyo Drift is watchable. Not good, but watchable. On par with watching paint dry as you may actually get high.
And this is why Tokyo Drift is my favorite out of all of the Fast and Furious movies.
I’d argue that Tokyo Drift actually is a car movie.
Oh boy are you about to be disappointed. Not only have I now written about counterweights, but I’ve also written about blue anodized wheel cylinders:

Being rich is not a good thing.
If car companies were employee-owned this wouldn’t happen. Decision-makers like having higher profit margins on fewer car sales and fewer factory workers are needed. To top it off, there are fewer cars that that the workers can afford for themselves.
For the love of God, people. Please, under no circumstances, pay $14,000 for a used Mirage. It’s the slowest, barest, tiniest cardboard box with wheels, and it’s not worth that BRAND NEW. It’s barely a car.
I doubt it. I would say that the majority of Americans don’t have access to reasonable public transportation. Like, I have to walk past work to get to the nearest bus stop to my house.
We’ve seen this movie before. As gas prices continue to rise, the ecobox will become a prized commodity. I can only imagine a lot of people who sprung for these big SUV’s with equally big payments are going to start struggling to fill them up.
Yeah, it doesn’t seem like making a small car fun to drive that’s also efficient would be that hard. Instead they made a two door insight
Counter-Counterpoint; A hybrid sports car would be a good idea if it were actually more sporty and/or efficient than similar vehicls. It had about the same mpgs and 0-60 times of the civic coupe of the time, which makes you wonder why did they even bother? Civic Si was just another couple grand more and was…
