I think gas prices, range anxiety with EV’s, and the superior efficiency of a <60" tall vehicle will bring them back. They still sell enough to be built and be profitable. We can never stop banging the drum about the superiority of sedans, hatches and wagons.

Yeah, android auto and apple carplay are designed for touchscreens, full stop. The clickwheel in the mazda is fine for me to use, except when it comes to using maps of anything complex in either UI. They should add a full time touchscreen in any subsequent refresh. 

The Nissan rogue, especially the last generation. There are SO MANY in new jersey, but they were such bad cars. God the base bmw seats, mainly in the previous generation cars. What the hell were they thinking? Literally dead flat. I was looking for cars on turo in socal and EVERY 3 series had them. I saw them and stayed the hell away.

The paddles work, the transmission is relatively slow for a new automatic but its not a huge issue. 

It does feel on par with an entry level luxury car in terms of refinement. 

This car is good, save for the garbage OEM tires. The turanza El440's lack grip, they’re too stiff, and they’re expensive. My dad has one of these, and I am on the edge of my seat waiting to have them replaced. The trans could be better as well but the low end power makes up for it.

I understand the sentiment, but chill with the 200hp 3000lbs thing. Both a GTI and an Accord would be past that limit. Maybe a tax or something for vehicles over 4200lbs makes more sense, it would spare most reasonable vehicles. Only large luxo-barges and pickups would be affected.

There is also nothing less fun than a bad shift, or a bad launch with a manual transmission. For me, the fun of shifting gears barely outweighs the annoyance of going slower off the line, or any shifting mistakes.

The crossover hate only exists because alot of sedans and compacts are either being cancelled, neglected, or becoming unavailable, since car companies are now going fully on board with SUV’s these days.

Most hyundai/kia models with the 1.6t engine have a DCT. I also mentioned a good modern automatic BTW.

This pisses me off so much. So many cars that got cancelled in the past few years had a notable flaw that was later fixed, either abroad, or in a subsequent SUV (eg. the HR-V got the smoother and more powerful 2.0l motor that the Honda fit was denied). The benefits of a sedan, hatchback, or wagon are inescapable.
