This car is fine at $31k, given the fact that the SI is $28k, (a car I think is also underpowered & overpriced now). But at $35k, a manual Si is too much. A GLI, or even an accord sport seem like a better deal at that point. They should have put the accord motor and transmission in this instead.

This will not happen in America. Most of the US is fully car dependent, and most of the US has weather that makes motorcycling difficult. What most cash-strapped people in America do is drive their cars to death or settle on a super-crappy car. We don’t have a choice.

I’m sorry but 7' is astonishingly narrow, Here in the states, even toll booths have to wider. Imagine going through that in a range rover or Q7. You only have a couple inches on either side to spare.

This isn’t an electric car problem, its a current problem with current EV’s. Their removal of physical and mechanical controls for mechanical functions adds more room for error and disaster. Something like this would never happen in a manual transmission car.
