Wow, I wonder if there was anything VW could have done to make the Passat sell better in the US (ehm, MQB platform, better engines which VW has in spades, bringing back the longer warranty, etc.). And no, the Arteon is not a worthy replacement in this segment. Its too expensive and very fuel inefficient AND doesn’t

They should bring the Euro passat here, plain and simple. Its the only way any passat can compete with the Accord, Malibu, Camry, and Altima.

Not even the Tesla screen is “super difficult” in the grand scheme of things, but these things are relative. Making the climate control functions in this car adds a layer of difficulty and distraction that should not be tolerated in a motor vehicle, which is a dangerous machine.

Two huge complaints with this car and VW in general:

Side note, this issue of the dump truck being in its upright position highlights how void of basic modern safety equipment Trucks have. Like cars will scream at you for not having a seatbelt on, but holy shit nothing on your damp truck tells you when the bucket is up?

I love the forte GT too, but a GLI would run circles around it. The kia can’t match the LSD and 260lbft combo.

Its difficult because the touch buttons need to be looked at. Its all relative of course.

Also, note the touch-sensitive climate control buttons below the vents, seems super difficult to use.

What fuckin wagon? I want to agree with you but they’re even more gone than the minivans. The cheapest new one in my area is a 52k A4 allroad.

If VW is doing so well, can they bring us back the golf and sportwagen? Maybe the id3? And give those cars physical climate controls? You know, all these things they are doing supposedly because they can’t afford to?

Wait so does this mean the Rimac Nevera would leave a 2011 F1 car in the dust?

I swear to fucking god if Mazda puts in touch screen A/C controls in their EV’s I will flip a fucking shit and will pray to god for their demise.

Some people can’t escape the political crap. In fact, none of us really can. You can ignore it like a child though.

The fact that Mazda of all companies threw touchscreen climate controls in this car is utterly mindboggling and needs to be called it out with absolute impunity by the car community and car journalists. Why, WHY after spending so much money and time on designing the least distracting interiors in the industry

I am required to use premium on my mk6 gti. Every other car in our extended family, we use regular. We have several Audis and Acura’s that recommend premium but allow for regular, so we use that. In our area, premium is up to 20% pricier, and none of these cars have had engine problems. People who bitch about using

most cars have auto HVAC. That’s not an excuse. I should be able to adjust the climate super easily whenever I want. It was a non issue for 50 years, so why is that being taken away now? Also, even with automatic climate, touchscreens are still annoying.

I need to rant on how stupid the touchscreen climate controls are on this car. They are really low, and probably really hard to look at while driving. What makes it dumber is that Mazda has spent so much money and marketing on how they made their cars less distracting to drive, and therefore designed every control in

One that isn’t talked about enough is WHEN people put on their indicators. Too often in NJ, people turn on their indicators AFTER the brake or after they drift left or right for a turn. So you don’t have time to prepare or move out of the way.

Even a fast u-turn or left turn slows traffic down. I live in NJ too, and US-1 carries and handles so many more cars than US-130 when they run parallel because the latter doesn’t have jughandles. Simple as that.
