One that isn’t talked about enough is WHEN people put on their indicators. Too often in NJ, people turn on their indicators AFTER the brake or after they drift left or right for a turn. So you don’t have time to prepare or move out of the way.

Even a fast u-turn or left turn slows traffic down. I live in NJ too, and US-1 carries and handles so many more cars than US-130 when they run parallel because the latter doesn’t have jughandles. Simple as that.

I’m not gonna stand for jug handle hate. Jug handles, especially ones that don’t require you to cross the intersection, eliminate the need for at least one left-turn traffic signal cycle which saves alot of time on roads like US-1 and parts of US-9
