17 states currently regulate private firearm sales at gun shows, and only 7 of those require background checks for all purchases (handgun and long gun). That doesn't seem like "many," more like "some." Just sayin'.

I'm in the 4th, as well, and I know what you mean. I saw very little concern around here about it, which, while not surprising, was so very hypocritical and disgusting.
I work for a small section of the company that owns TLC (which has nothing to do with my section), and I have to admit, it hurts me deep on the inside to even be that closely related to that channel.
I know this is old, but I have to say I agree totally with you (and the NIH) that BMI shouldn't be used alone to diagnose obesity. That doesn't change the fact that, unfortunately, in the US it often IS used alone to categorize someone as overweight or obese. That's why you and others are getting so much push back on…
Maybe, but you can't accurately convert BMI to body fat %. My body fat is 12% lower than it's supposed to be based on BMI (at 5'2" and not athletic).
I was afraid of that. Yeah...it's irritating how different generics can be from the original medication, as well as from each other. I have a friend who was on a pill that worked well in its brand name form and in one of the generics. Then she got a refill, while the same drug, was from a different generic…
Is the Jolessa working out for you? I have PCOS and, apparently, a rather sensitive endocrine system; Seasonale has been the only thing that works for me so far. Because of the cost, I get it (legally) from Canada. I've thought about trying Jolessa instead, but I've been afraid to switch.
Yeah, it can take a bit of patience, as well as time; it always takes longer than I think it will, and not everyone has the hours to spare. :) It's just one of those things that gives me satisfaction to successfully complete, I guess... That, and I don't trust anybody else to have their mitts in my case. >.< The plus…
This is one of the primary reasons I build my own rigs. AND my husband's.
I'm not going to karaoke tonight because I want to avoid a friend (in a quantitative Masters program) who last night said she loves science and its self-correcting nature, then proceeded to say that evolution isn't an actual scientific theory at all because, you know, science.
Just to give a bit more input from the same site you listed: http://philanthropy.com/article/FaithGiving/133611/ looks at giving when donations to religious charities are removed. When they are, the trend reverses.
I fully support this plan.
My fear is that making moronic statements won't keep them from getting elected in many cases. There are too many people who are too apathetic to do anything about it, even just to vote. There are a lot of people who will vote a party, no matter how stupid or bat shit insane the candidate is.
