Your criticism is valid. I think because we spent so much time with Miranda in the series, they chose to do a deeper dive but did leave off the detail needed to pull it together for viewers.  I don’t think it was intentional, but rather an oversight.

As another book reader, I couldn’t agree more on how much I love the Kirsten/Jeevan change from the book. This last episode with Frank and Kirsten’s interactions, even moreso.

It’s me.  For her purses alone, I stan QEII forever.

I’m actually thankful for the spoilers in this recap. Knowing Big dies toward the end of the episode, I thought I was prepared. I watched it during my lunch hour and it still hit me like a freight train. I guess I thought it would be handled “lighter”, which is silly in hindsight, but took me a good ten minutes to

You’re not wrong. It does seem deeply weird and kind of out of nowhere. These shows were both top notch entertainment when I was a kid, but the writing wasn’t great, so how are they going to polish up these turds?

Please do find a way to watch it at some point. I promise you won’t be disappointed. There isn’t a single actor on the series that didn’t go all in and they were all so fakking talented.

Brenda’s growth throughout the series is really something else. I despised her in the first couple of seasons, but by the end, I knew her and accepted she was just Brenda. She would be the last person to say she wasn’t deeply fucked up.

They do still have potato cakes at the Arby’s up here in the PNW!  Those and the Jalapeno Poppers are the last tasty things on the menu.

Interesting!  I knew Carl’s Jr wasn’t a national chain, but I REALLY thought Jack in the Box was everywhere. Truly, you’re not missing too much - it may be nostalgia coloring those fond memories.

Oh, BK used to also have a grilled chicken sandwich that was super tasty.  Was it maybe called the BK Broiler?  I think that was the one.  Loved it!

This was discontinued in the mid-90s and is certain never to return, but the Ham & Turkey Melt from Jack in the Box remains my all-time favorite fast food sandwich.  WHY did they discontinue it when I, alone, could have kept that income rolling in?

This needs an update that he retweeted the video minutes after being censured for....posting the video.

I’m a sap of the highest order, but it still shocked me that the ending of a *zombie*movie had me blubbering all over the place. That little girl was an amazing actress and from now on, I’ll never hear Aloha Oe without thinking of that scene.

Hucksters and ghouls, as another poster below accurately called them. Reminds me of Sylvia Browne, another peddler of lies and false hope, who preyed most often on those suffering from grief. I don’t recall if You’re Wrong About did an episode on her, but I know Swindled did and I strongly recommend it.

To the extent she seems youthful, it’s because she looks like a child whose classmate brought a peanut butter sandwich for lunch and now she needs an epi-pen.

Cynthia Nixon and SJP are both allowing themselves to show their age, which I appreciate, but Kristen Davis absolutely ruined her face with those fillers.

As far as the content goes, I can’t even lie and say I won’t watch this.

We make pearsauce (sometimes with a combo of apple) in the crockpot with the ones we get every year from SO’s aunt. Fresh out of the crockpot warm over vanilla ice cream is WONERFUL.  Just a matter of waiting for them to ripen first, as they seem to be hard as rocks when the box first arrives.

My boss is vaccinated and doesn’t want anyone to know. It’s at the point where I’d question if he actually is, but I remember him complaining mightily about his arm after the first shot. And, he was super nervous before the appointment. He’s absolutely on the right wing spectrum.

My cousin and her husband were quietly anti-vax, of the “just asking questions” persuasion, as was (is) their larger group of friends, all of whom have kids. When my cousin’s oldest, at 17, became eligible, he told them he wanted to get the vaccine as did his younger sister, and strongly urged my cousin and her

This has probably been said elsewhere, but too many comments to catch them all. If Texas is a stand-your-ground state, and I think it may be, if cyclists armed themselves and shot anyone who didn’t give them the three feet buffer, perhaps that would finally be a path to justice.
