I love Kill Bill both Vol 1 and Vol 2, but Vol 2 for two specific scenes and the rest of the film is just filler to get to my scenes. *spoilers, if that’s even necessary for such an old movie*

Oh, and Sue, pray tell, why did your history education stop in 1964?

Who the fuck cares what white general election swing state voters think of her, anyway? Her constituents are the ones she is representing and clearly they believe in the choice they made when they voted for her.

Thank you for the suggestion! One of my friends also recommended this one to me. I haven’t tried any of the comedy/funny ones yet, this has now been bookmarked for next week.

I feel like bees and ants already have the structural requirements needed for a functioning civilization, they’ve kind of earned their shot, haven’t they?

I’ll definitely do audiobooks, too, but I can only listen to books I’ve already read before.  I’ve not checked out an audiobook from the library before, though,  Do they download straight to my phone?  Something I need to research..

You’re the second person to recommend that one and the first to tell me it is British.  I’ll put that one on the list as soon as my Timesuck Black Dahlia episode is over.  Thanks!

Who says you can’t take yourself and your cute outfits out to lunch every day?

I’m happy to report I have a new job that I’m kind of in love with after quitting the cesspool that was my employer for the last five years back in May. Having said that, I now have a commute, which I didn’t have previously and, in the interest of not hating all my music by the end of the first month, I’m dipping my

1000% accurate, sadly.

The acting, particularly by the girl who played Leigh (Alexandra something - I can’t look it up right now) is what I remember dragging it down most.

The soundtrack really was the saving grace, but it’s been years since I’ve seen it. Surprised to hear it doesn’t hold up!

They deny it.

Fascinating! That horses ever had toes is new information to me.

If I’m high and having a beer, I don’t necessarily want to watch every character I’ve just become connected to get beheaded, or fuck their sister, or fuck their beheaded sister or something. I should be sober for that.

I’m going to quit my job this week. It’s kind of terrifying while also being much needed for my mental health. I don’t even have a new job lined up, but if I don’t force myself to look by having no other options, I won’t budge.

While I miss your old username and envy your new one, I’m glad I can still easily identify that you are who I think you are.

What are you looking for most? Funny? Relaxing? Several seasons you can dig your teeth into? If you can follow American Gods in your Friday state of mind, I don’t think Game of Thrones would be any more challenging, for the record.

Clapback Mailbag was my first introduction to The Root and even on weeks when I’m too overwhelmed at work to read all the articles and comments, I always return on Friday for Michael’s insightful, educational, often touching and almost always hilarious contribution to my favorite recurring series across the GMG.

I’ve not watched the movie, either.  I probably won’t get around to it ever, but it sounds like I won’t be missing anything great.  :)
