I’ve not seen most of the MCU movies, but had I seen Thor: Ragnorak in the theater, I would have sat through the entire end credits with an enormous grin on my face hoping for more.

This goes along with my original statement that I’ve not heard any good arguments against it. This one is, uhhh, far fetched, at best.
I was glad they included it in the compilation above. I wish I had seen that one in the theater, if only to experience that moment of fading to black.
You’ve stated it perfectly and far more beautifully than I could have.
If you’ve ever shopped at the Costco on 4th Ave S in (SoDo) Seattle, you’ll know the guy checking the receipts is there purely for entertainment as he looks at your cart and tries to guess the total before looking at the receipt.
I’ll never deny being the sappiest sap to ever sap, but I think I sat on my couch and cried for a half hour after the Six Feet Under finale.
True, and I did mention in a follow-up post that I’ve chosen the ballot drop in the last few elections rather than putting it in the mail. At least here in Western WA, the ballot drop boxes are in every town, usually near the library, and you don’t have to drop it in your specific town in order for it to be counted…
Thank you! I tried, but I was unable to finish that film. I had no connection or feeling with the characters and it just didn’t do anything for me, despite being visually appealing.
Agreed on all points. I wanted to say something about how clearly lost she is as a person, but nothing she herself hasn’t said before. I feel for her, and for those that love her.
There were many I couldn’t name, but I’m wondering if I’m the only one who got a little choked up immediately upon hearing the first notes to the Sia song from the Six Feet Under final scene? Just me?
Same here, but ISFJ. I view the results the same as I do my astrological sign (Viva El Toro!), which is to say, when I’m bored, I find it entertaining to read.
I also worry about ballots getting lost in the mail, but at least here in Washington, ballot boxes are easily accessible and you can drop your ballot up to two weeks prior to the election (maybe more if you get your ballot sooner) all the way until 8pm on the day of the election.
I had forgotten about the unauthorized cinnamon. I got a cackle just thinking about her and Dan arguing about it. I want this movie SO BAD!
That’s legitimate criticism. I guess you have to have faith that your system is working properly in order to buy into the idea of voting by mail.
I’ve found the heavier the ending, the longer I’ll sit and let it sink in before I gather myself and walk back out into the bright hustle and bustle of the real world. Getting up and leaving immediately breaks the spell for me.
I’m curious why you’re not necessarily on board with voting by mail?
I didn’t. I just don’t have the heart to speak so bluntly. Thankfully, her children are grown up now and have children of their own, that, as far as I know, are fully vaccinated.
I blocked people on Twitter because I was hurting from the criticism, but those are the people I actually need to hear from more, not less.
The scene of him and Jewel dancing after she got her boot is one of my favorites.
He does kind of look like a goofier version of the ageless Keanu Reeves, but that doesn’t quite explain why I find him irresistibly attractive. I mean, he only vaguely resembles Keanu Reeves, who is objectively very attractive.
