1. Kerry should have made this speech 2 years ago

“...what purpose would it serve to disable the brakes on moving cars?”

His buddy/co-worker Marc Caputo is having a twitter tantrum right now, claiming he doesn’t understand how anyone could have a problem with this. It’s bizarre.

Nixon had the recording equipment installed himself. Sort of backfired on him though.

Mike Allen, because-of-fucking-course it’s Mike Allen. Everyone in that picture needs to be put on a media blacklist shot out of a cannon into the white-hot sun.

I hate to say it, but this story is actually about Ethics In Journalism.

since he cant sell burgers at his restaurant and can’t sell his steaks at sharper image, he has to take his beef to twitter.

...Sanger would’ve hated my minority self reproducing

I am strongly pro-Planned Parenthood, and don’t believe that telling the true, complex story of the woman who started it all diminishes its work or importance at all. I think some people believe that.

Quite frankly, it’s the complexity and contradictions that make her especially interesting — not to mention her achievements.

To be fair eugenics was a well respected science at the time. And arguably helped expand our understanding of human heredity to some extent.

The ever popular Nikolai Tesla is perhaps a better example of your point considering he was also a pretty hardcore eugenicist.

That is fucked up, but also a mainstream belief in the early 20th century. Not to excuse Sanger, but she wasn’t an outlier.

I didn’t get a sense anyone is trying to explain anything away. She is a product of the era in which she lived, although in one key area (i.e. birth control) she was ahead of her time. The argument being made is that her significant accomplishment in the latter area is overshadowed by the unfortunate espousal of ideas

Can we agree that she was a somewhat flawed woman that ended up doing great things for women despite those flaws?

It is fucked up. Know what else is fucked up? Keeping humans in bondage. Raping them. Making them bear your children. And yet, Thomas Jefferson can be spoken about in glowing terms without this coming up. Very odd how when it’s a woman fighting against forced pregnancy, this is all you have to go on. Very odd, very

Her misfortune, her tragic mistake, was taking up with those who were racists and not seeing where their policies led. But here’s the rub. The men who touted eugenics have not gone down in history’s hall of shame. If you do an online search of Teddy Roosevelt, or the African-American civil rights activist W.E.B.

Thomas Jefferson, beloved framer, owner and rapist of slaves. His good deeds seem to weigh more heavily with history. His misdeeds should not be forgotten, and neither should Sanger’s, but her mission and organization have contributed a net positive to society, hands down.

Apparently there was a large shorting of Lockheed Martin stocks minutes before the Trump tweet which dropped the share price.
