That Rocket Car appears to be the Devel Sixteen

I think i’d be looking into an LS1 swap if I wanted a “real” 355. Pull that Ferrari motor out and store it.

Welcome to the south. Both of my parents are from MS so I’m pretty used to it having visited my grandparents regularly growing up. It’s a very polarized state, I don’t mean that racially, but economically. Some parts are fairly nice, like Natchez, sort of a Savannah GA kinda vibe, others are are completely empty like

Now playing

The thing is to get out, push the button then walk away, then IF the car does it, you mention what it’s doing.

And all trucks are boys...

I thought about Polycarbonate, I work for a playground equipment manufacturer, we use a ton of Lexan and have CNC equipment, so it wouldn’t be hard, but Lexan is relatively soft, I don’t think it’d have the tensile strength without it being extremely thick. Acyrlic, is harder, but brittle. I do have an idea though of

Aside from them being the car equivalent to a ManBun for most buyers, I would imagine most tow truck operators would still look for the factory hooks to avoid damage from poor installs like the pictured hook. Kinda like how nurses have to test blood types even if someone has it tattooed on them. If you’ve got a

Maybe, but I know how to make them functional...

You know... This makes me want to start laser cutting some acrylic tow hooks, then edge lighting them. As long as they’re pointless, let’s make them even more obnoxious, because they’ll sell.

Ralph,

But really, we all want to see the ‘89 Batmobile in the next cars movie anyway, right?

a true catch 22

So by this standard, if a driver were stupid enough to wear a sleep mask while driving, the company that made said mask could be sued because they didn’t sew in eye holes? They had the technology.

I’ll take it back (partially). I’m well aware of what Lotus does. However I’d always read/heard the roadster was Elise based. I however JUST read that apparently only means about 6% of the Elise components carried over. I suppose some architecture may have been utilized, but the wheelbase is longer. I’ll let Tesla

Wouldn’t be too bad. I also wouldn’t mind one with Panoz. I’ve always been impressed with their chassis designs, as long as someone else handles the styling.

I’m hoping they’ll develop the chassis themselves this time around. As much as I love the Lotus based design, the performance is going to suffer from retrofitting their battery into an existing design, rather than building a new car around it. While the original served well to get Tesla off the ground, packaging and

Now, if your car has drums on all 4 wheels, like mine did, yank ‘em off and stick some disks on there. It’s worth the cost/hassle for the safety. Everytime I went through a big puddle with my drums, I’d loose braking until they dried out.

At least he’s reduced his likelihood of breeding. Chock this up as a Darwin Award’s honorable mention.

I hope they introduce flight mode next where it flaps the doors while you drive.
