I realize all of this to be the case. I also realize that my concerns are based on responsible, active drivers rather than the average idiot.

Especially when you start getting into drive-by-wire systems that have no mechanical linkage between steering wheel and front wheels.

I forget which part the people catcher is in, may have to track down the 2nd half as well. I believe it’s on youtube as well. I remember us renting this back in the 80s multiple times, it’s one of my favorites.

Now playing

If you’ve never seen this documentary, it has (among other crazy inventions) the pedestrian catcher and shows it in action.

It is time to finally employ the Pedestrian-Catcher front bumpers, it’s our only hope for the future.

Anyone that is involved in an accident involving a school bus due to their own idiocy should automatically have it revoked for at least 1 year, but preferably until the last kid on that bus graduates (I went to a rural k-12 school in Northern AL, so yeah, i know that could be awhile).

I’d call you a sadistic equine necrophile, but that’s beat beating a dead horse.

You needed the undercarriage washed? No problem ma’am.

I think the Chronos has aged well, maybe with some updated headlights, but otherwise, I still love that thing. My point was more about how they used to build these great concepts, but the best they can do now is some special edition challenger.

and for Dodge

So are we talking concepts?

Nice, like a sportier version of the Tucker Combat Car.

greenhouse could have been from one of the LH sedans.

I was always into Streamline (more specific than art-deco as most call it). I was in school for Industrial Design at the time it came out, so it coincided with a lot of what I was learning about the history of design from Raymond Loewy and others.

Our company, at the time they were still in production, had a consultant that would rent one whenever he came to town. That was about the only first hand experience I had with them, but I do remember how tiny that trunk was, He joked he could barely fit his briefcase in it.

Really? wow, that blows. Too bad it didn’t survive into the Fiat years, not that I’ve been crazy about most of their recent stuff, but at least it might have received the pentastar 3.6 as a standard engine, that would have bumped the base up to a 283hp motor. And who knows, maybe they’d have used the miata/124

So, I guess I’m not getting the contract then.....

I wonder if NEST will be getting an upgrade.

If those had been my kids, that idiot wouldn’t have taken two steps out of the car waving his hands before he was face down on the pavement. Idiocy is one thing, but child endangerment is another thing all together.
