I probably didn’t help the average. I lasted about 3 days.

Rodney Dangerfield.

My first car was a 4-door ‘75 Dart. Was never excited about it when I first got it. It only had a slant 6, but I couldn’t afford anything better so I worked on it, eventually dropping in a 318 with some high compression heads, cam and 4 barrel, and putting on some nicer wheels. With that budget, you could do a very nice makeover of a classic Mopar A-Body with a late model Hemi. Get the great looks of the older cars without the enormity of the bigger muscle cars and the performance and economy of the newer Challenger or Chargers. Well... if that’s what you want.

About all I’ll ever be able to afford...

My only experience in an Olds was a 91 Cutlass Calais, which was one of the worst cars I’ve ever had.... but just wouldn’t quit. I say worst, because the previous owners had ruined it. I could never get the oil filter out, even took it to a few shops and they couldn’t either, but even putting 50k miles on it in under
