Aesthetics... that one thing there will never be 100% agreement on. People like what they like, doesn’t mean what they don’t like won’t sell better.

Exactly. I think merging brands would have been better than killing them. Olds + Buick could have been an incredible brand with some serious Acura/Lexus/Infiniti fighting products. Though rebranding would have been in order, neither “Oldsmobile” nor “Buick” scream high tech luxury.
It really was ahead of it’s time, I believe. If you consider the later introduction of the H2, H3, Xterra, FJ and other “Lifestyle” SUVs that came along in the following years. I would think that even as a full on production (maybe make the 2-door the limited model) it would had a great shot at re-legitimizing Isuzu…
and looks like it could still be a new model. Compared to what Isuzu was making at the time (or even what the competition was producing), it was a terrible mistake not to build this.
It really is a shame Olds died. While I think the Buick name sounds better as a brand, Olds was their most forward thinking brand.
There is one at our office complex, in very good condition with a nice roof rack. I know people aren’t crazy about them, a dressed up amigo and all, but I dig them. I think the 90's concept car for the streets aesthetic will eventually have it’s day with collectors and these things will be right there along side some…
I suppose it would be nice if my car’s A/C collected the water into a tank or cup instead of just dripping it all over my carpet.
That is more reasonable. hope they plumbed it with proper drainage.
Don’t forget the Vibe GT as well. Same as the matrix. I’ve got a base Vibe myself, but the GT owners swear by that 2ZZ
good point.
I would assume it may be for an umbrella... Now, I don’t get how anyone (ahem... Rolls) would expect you to be able to actually put it into the door, without getting drenched in the process. The angle of approach and basic human factors would make this a difficult (though kinda cool) concept very difficult to use.
A spill in a relatively remote location is better than in the middle of population.
I would hope that if it is hauling nuclear waste, that they’d be taking more direct measures of stopping it.
We just picked up our first full-sized conversion van for a whopping $1200, even with all the work it needed, we’ll have a pretty awesome road-tripper for $2000-$2500. We’ve had mini-vans for years and my family had g20's when I was a kid, they really are the way to go for family travel. If the EPA ratings on this van…
How do you know that the triangle train is the one photoshopped?
