I made a TikTok

Good question.  It’s a really different model too.  Even though they have the company trucks & uniforms, I understand most are just regional/local subcontractors.  The cable companies tended to do that a lot too (contracting for Time Warner and what not).  I think FedEx and UPS still use “proper” employees and not

Somewhere along the way the term ‘luxury’ got confused with ‘expensive’.

Indeed. Had a very fun conversation with my dad when he got back from Italy for the first time on this sort of topic.

Not sure the issue is being oriented to the automobile, but that we’re run by a legislature that contains a fair amount of “my TAXES must never go up” outstate people.

Whichever state the person answering is from.

People like this make me want to live in tarp-covered hole in the woods.

I understand Chrysler, but you are going to have to explain yourself on Dodge. The Challenger and Charger are still selling like crazy. I’m sure they are working on a new generation but what would be the point in releasing it while sales are still sky high on the old platform?

Ten years? That’s enough time for Chrysler and co to change ownership at least twice.

The dumb thing is, is that Dodge would be super successful if they never spun Ram off into it’s own brand.

You mean rewarding Senior Management with insane bonuses for outsourcing internet security to the lowest bidding, incompetent contractors in India or China shouldn’t be encouraged?

If there is another EV tax incentive, it should only go towards affordable EVs or middle to low income people only. Luxury and high end EVs have already proven themselves to be competitive. Well off people have already shown they like and can afford EVs as well have the detached private homes that really suit EVs

It’s a total asshole move but I think they’re making a solid business decision, actually.

I’ve been flummoxed by Toyota’s slow response to EV’s, even PHEV’s. It is as if this is going to be a case study in future business classes on how not to go out of business like Toyota did in 2030.

Hydrogen can work great and be extremely green. You just have to be a bit blue about how to make it.

Technically it does drive on its own. Into other things, but on its own.

I don’t know how they get away with using the term “Full Self-Driving”. Honestly, a court is going to have to step in to force them to strike that phrase from all of their marketing.

There’s also China’s possible enforcement of laws requiring carmakers to store vehicle data collected on servers within its borders.

Wrong, they all have plenty of entry level vehicles with good fuel economy. Today, they are compact & subcompact SUVs, when before they would’ve been small sedans and hatchbacks. But nobody actually wanted small sedans and hatchbacks...

Let’s be honest, trying to use government power to divert chip supplies to one manufacturer over another is either crony capitalism or just straight up central planned authoritarianism.
