I think the BEV vs Hydrogen debate is roughly analogous to the gas vs diesel debate we have today. For most people and use-cases, gas and BEV make the most sense. But for those few others cases, mainly those that drive long distances frequently, diesel and hydrogen make the most sense. Question will be whether or not

EV prices are too high, but that won’t be fixed without scale. You can’t get scale without competitive prices. Subsidies accelerate the adoption of EVs, and thus will bring down the price of EVs.

I don’t know if you’ve ever driven a really fast Tesla, but I assure you it’s not as exciting as it sounds. The lack of engine noise and gear shifting means it’s just one continuous shove in the back...kind of like being in an airplane taking off. That’s fine and a good way to show off to people, but it gets quite

*cries in Jalop and Venture Bros fan* You get me, Erin.

I MIGHT be wrong, but I’m pretty sure I’m not. Hopefully, their child was born healthy and mother is doing well.

Hey, this is America. We can be stupid in LOTS of different ways at the same time!

I feel like if more non-car people knew the Bolt existed, it might’ve done a little better, but GM’s marketing is horrendous. It’s a good car for what it is.

Shilling really is the biggest hack on Jalopnik.

The guy only knows how to talk shit about GM

This should be a regular Jalopnik feature. Cheap cars from around the world, imported and driven on small city streets in America.

Sell the Changli and illegally import a Hongguang MINI EV on the Jalopnik Corporate Account

OK, just let me get this straight. GM is selling cheap EV’s in China, made for China, in China and couldn’t possibly sell them in America do to pretty much everything from regulations, cost, and and actual market segment that doesn’t exist in America, so fuck them for not doing this. GM then makes partnerships with

Wasn’t just the Redline, it was all v6 Vue models 2004 and up. Redline is literally suspension and looks, no added power. Also has the Honda trans.

EVs make a ton of sense for a large swath of the population. There are just a big and vocal-enough group of them that wants their vehicle to do literally everything and refuse to accept anything less. The irony is that, as a 2nd vehicle, an EV makes a ton of sense for that population, too.

Well a flat earth would be more efficient for those EVs to traverse.

they could just be switching all their lineups over to simpler, less luxurious EV designs right this moment.

Wouldn’t the Saturn Vue Redline be a more recent collab?
