Yeah, my papers after my miscarriage said “spontaneous abortion”. I just don’t know that I agree that the terms need revision - they’re sort of scary and intimidating for a lot of people, but most medical terms are. They’re also an accurate description of what’s going on, from a medical standpoint.

But she didn’t. “I refuse, thinking that if whatever it is, or was, got up there just fine, it can come down on its own.” That’s not, “I refuse, thinking that I didn’t want an abortion.”

Starring for the mental picture of an incompetent cervix, not for your experience!

The medical term for miscarriage is spontaneous abortion. A D&C is the procedure used for both elective abortion and for incomplete spontaneous abortion - there’s not some other way of doing it for women who wanted their babies than there is for women who don’t.

And then this is after several hours of sweating - my hair looks disgusting but my make up didn’t budge!

Kinja continues to Kinja, so apologies for the GIANT CLOSE UP SELFIE (and not spectacular lighting), but this is immediately after application:

Part of it is that the tinted moisturizer is fairly sheer - it’s got good staying power when paired with the right powder, but it’s not nearly as heavy as a full-coverage liquid even in multiple layers. And then I use a fairly light hand with the bare minerals foundation, especially in areas that I don’t want to

Wide-ruled paper is the literal worst.

Conservatives only oppose politicizing events like this when it makes them look bad or when it involves trying to have a reasonable conversation about gun ownership. If it can be blamed on minorities or liberals, they’re all about politicizing.

LUSH is sort of notorious for making stupid marketing choices/poor business decisions/etc and then defending them tho.

It really, really is. It doesn’t look like it! I would post a picture but kinja gonna kinj. But it is definitely a only-when-absolutely-necessary trick.

My go-to trick is approximately 17 layers of foundation and a light layer of hairspray. I went to a festival at the beginning of the month that was outdoors in Pomona, so it was about 95, and I danced my ass off for 8+ hours and my makeup didn’t budge.

This is a really excellent solution and one that I wish more instructors would adopt, tbh.

I use EDM as shorthand but when I’m talking to someone that might understand what I mean when I refer to a specific genre, or when it’s relevant to what I’m saying, I do differentiate.

I definitely agree with you. I grew up watching my parents hate each other and being aware of my mother’s affairs (and then, later, my dad’s) and it was fucking awful. I can’t imagine going through that knowing that you have a national audience.

Well, I mean, a sensible drug policy that emphasizes regulation rather than prohibition would help a lot, but let’s keep not supporting it.

I mean, I don’t think it’s entirely unreasonable to respond to your partner wanting to change the terms of your relationship by wanting to end the relationship. Just because YOU don’t want to get divorced doesn’t mean that your partner also doesn’t, given the knowledge that you are incompatible within the parameters

    haters gonna hate.

He was zipping around on stage on that thing at his show in SD a couple of weeks ago, too. (I was there to see Fall Out Boy don’t judge me.)

I don’t know, can you tell me how you manage the cognitive dissonance necessary to be both pro-life and infantry? I mean - what’s the difference between abortion and shooting a person in the face, amirite?
