I just checked. you don’t have local taxes in DC! You’re not really making the same argument as I am. In, NY, If you are single and no kids and making any kind of money...you are screwed. If you are married with 2 kids, you only break even at $120k. This pretty much summarizes it.

Well north of $10,000 is right! So you understand. I dont much understand DC tax, but I was under the impression that it was high. But apparently, it doesn’t come close to other major US cities. Since DC is not really part of any State, does this mean you don’t have State taxes? If not, then you are not really making…
