God, Coal Miners Daughter is one of those movies that I watch every time it’s on. Such a great movie.

I once spent a very drunk birthday watching Loretta Lynn perform at her ranch In Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. The show was hilarious- it was literally like being at a family party- she got into a fight with her son on stage (he made a really shady mention of Conway twitty being his father...),her teenage grandson

She’s awesome enough for me to overlook her politics, unlike say...less-than-awesome Kelsey Grammer, or hot and funny but not hot enough for me to overlook politics Mike Rowe, for instance. She used to campaign for George HW Bush, so I knew she leaned right.

Loretta Lynn? I love that bitch!

I love Kate Hudson, she’s just doing her best work on Instagram.

Was doing kegels the whole time I read this article. Gotta get back on that kegel game

I had the same experience showing my kids (7, 5) and nephew (8) the movie Footloose. I had never seen it and thought it was a dance musical. It was rated the old PG. Oops.

I grew up reading Archie. (It was really handy when I would visit my relatives in Puerto Rico and the only thing in English I could find to read were the Archie comics sold on the Navy bases.) Yes, they can be corny. But they can be fun. And I loved Jughead. So, I guess my answer to your question is me.

I read it as a child and teenager in the two thousands. I still read them when I’m up at the family cottage with my friends. We have Archie Comics from when my mom was going up there in the seventies. To me, they have always been very comforting.

I am SO okay with this. I was obsessed with Archie as a kid. I started and Archie club on my school bus and made other kids pass a quiz about Archie books before they could sit with us.

From what I’ve read, the current incarnation of Archie is actually pretty terrific.

I had no idea this existed, but I just read the Wiki entry and it includes this sentence: “Jughead carries emotional baggage that manifests itself in a terrible fear of women.”

AM I THE ONLY ONE AROUND HERE WHO GIVES A SHIT ABOUT THE RULES?

Do NOT be embaressed. I am 40 too, and was in love with Maxwell Caulfield after Grease 2 and still hum “We’re Going to Score Tonight” and “Cool Rider” to myself during random moments. And come on, let’s be honest: Michelle Pfiefer was WAYYYYY hotter than ONJ.

No shame. I'm 39 and can likely still sing all of Reproduction. Which is still one of the best movie songs ever, btw.

There was a plot? The only thing I remember about the movie is

All I know is Frenchie was SO ahead of her time with that pink hair. She was a roller derby pin-up girl waiting to happen.

One of the ones I picked-up on immediately even as a kid was the part of the song that goes:

That people will cheat in dance contests (I’m still mad about that, even though I know that lady is a better dancer than Olivia NJ, but how can she just barge in there and no one care).

I think Danny and Rizzo understood each other better than anyone. The knowing looks he gave her when he first acted a fool in front of Sandy? That was clearly a cry for help.
