I have had two Elite controllers break in that exact same manner. Both around the 6th month mark. Most of my friends who have had the controllers for more than 6 months have also run into this issue. I am still shocked that Microsoft has not addressed it whatsoever.

I also loved the game, if that wasn’t clear. :)  If you have a Wii U, Super Mario 3D World had very similar mechanic and thus was also a great family game (and a great Mario game regardless).

My kids are a bit older now, obviously, but they basically bracketed your son’s age when we played Yoshi’s Woolly World, and they did fine.  Especially if you’re playing with him, since he can always float along as an egg for a bit while you carry through a particularly hard part.

10/10 Definitely the best close-up weapon in the game if you don’t have a Peacemaker, EVO, R-99, RE-45, Alternator, literally any other gun, any throwables to drop at your own feet, and your right stick is broken so you can’t punch.
