I hate BRs, but I’m in love with Apex Legends - and I think the squad aspect is really what does it for me.  Wandering around solo against 99 other players?  I’m toast.  But wandering around as a group of 3 against 19 other groups of 3 has been a blast and I’ve actually managed to wind up on the winning side a few

I don’t think it’s an age thing, I think BRs just aren’t for everyone. Counterstrike was unappealing to me for the exact same reason as Apex; run around, get your loadout set, get shot, sit around for 15 minutes (in Apex’s case, you can be revived, but still). I don’t think this sort of game would work in a non-F2P

So... Are they going to ban the anchors that are white supremacists anytime soon?

Yeah, it’s comments like yours that are why I’m starting to turn around on it. People seem genuinely impressed in a way that I wasn’t expecting for a “Titanfall universe” game with no Titanfall in it.

It’s refreshing that the diversity is just “there” without any pomp and circumstance around it. Plus all of the designs are pretty cool!

yeah, but the other half is super fun player mobility. Especially in titanfall 2 with the grappling hooks

It’s also probably worth mentioning that this is the first numbered/main story game in the franchise since AC6 in 2007...fans have been waiting 12 YEARS. And from everything I’ve heard it’s exactly what we’ve wanted. This is an amazing thing in the modern gaming climate—-the fact that the game exists at all, and the

I’m currently 7 missions in and, having been an Ace Combat fan for almost my entire game-playing life, it’s exactly what I wanted from the series. Loving every second of it. Especially compared to Assault Horizon this game is incredible. It’s basically the same thing as AC4 through Zero but with all of the polish and

This oddly makes me want a new Armored Core.

Now playing

My favorite battle music is and probably will always be The Extreme from Final Fantasy VIII.

yet another display of “Yay Progressive Whites!” with the subsequent back-patting for calling out an obviously grotesque moment in American history on national television, yet doing nothing else about its historical effects on the community today.

I tend to go with the Classixx remix as background music for afternoon cocktails on the balcony.

Should really get back to DQXI.  That 2nd half is incredible (as is the post-game story) and after 22 years I finally have a JRPG I like more than Final Fantasy VI.

KFC and cologne : (

I feel smarter for reading this. And dumber because I’m the same species as these people who believe in DEWs and Chemtrails. Seriously you don’t think we would see an airplane shooting lasers above the forest of paradise in California....

Huh. When I was a kid, I used to read the FFVII Prima guide like a novel. I used to love getting the strategy guide for a game - it felt like I was being let in on a secret extra layer of the world I was running around in.

What a bummer... but I guess I’ve just been using Wiki guides or guides on sites like IGN or Polygon or Eurogamer since, like, 2005. Feels like games are almost too complex for book format guides now anyway. Still nothing beats the nostalgia of playing through and old RPG with a book by your side. Though I always

Henry Cavill is... Revolver Ocelot?

It’s a start, although I think he needs to look a bit more “weathered”. He looks almost elvish in that shot, like Thranduill from the Hobbit movies.

I honestly couldn’t tell you the political leanings of a single person I’ve come to know via Food Network.
