the worst part is MS Defender does not alert you in any way that it is stopping these programs from running. Multiple times i’ve had major issues with various homebrew software, spent hours debugging. Sometimes they will just silently and errorlessly close randomly. sometimes they won’t open. sometimes they just throw

Science teacher here. Yuuuuuuuup. I’m losing a LOT of resources because of this

The end of flash is going to wreak havoc on educational technology. So many edu games that are still played in schools today were designed and built in flash. These games were made with funding or research grants. They don’t have a company to rebuild them in html5 and were not made for websites that will protect them.

I think some of it has to do with licensing issues.

Please just give me the DoA games, I’m so disgruntled that literally zero of them are backwards compatible on the One. I had some Jonesing for 3 and 4 and had to break out my 360 a while back.

My hangups with VR are thus:

1. I don’t think I can afford it. I didn’t even get a PS4 until recently, and I missed out on the PS3 entirely for financial reasons.

One story that was missed here: AMD taking over the high-end CPU market from Intel basically overnight with their third generation Ryzen CPUs. To be fair the PC I built this year still has an Intel CPU in it, but it seems like the general consensus in the PC hobbyist community is that Intel is years behind, and you’d

I remember the rumour about Guile’s handcuffs.  I now know it’s true, but I’d never seen it happen back then.  The other rumour I vividly remember was that Chun-Li could actually throw her spiked bracelets at you.

The original SF2 is my favorite because it’s slower and feels more deliberate in each hit, after that they started making them faster and faster with longer combos and to me that made it less interesting somehow.

Thank you. You were informative

GoG.com is probably the only service you mentioned that lets you actually own your games, no strings attached.

Isn’t that the version that comes with its own speaker and screen?

GARBAGE. The only reason they finally decided to embrace streaming is because they knew nobody would buy the obsolete format they planned to release it on.

Wal-mart has it for $37, yes that Wal-mart. Strange world we live in.

And I’ll get Man In The High Castle from torrents

There is a third alternative, which is play the game, enjoy it, and don’t worry about unlocking every one of the ten thousand fucking cosmetics.

I figured by naming the parts they must’ve been pretty good and I know that with PC keyboards people will pay a pretty penny for the right clicking feel.

For 2 arcade-level controllers + the games it seems moderately reasonable. I have no knowledge of how good the buttons and stick are, but mechanical stuff they get gamers to pay through the nose for.

Let me be more specific then: the old school, base building RTS genre is dead. Or as good as. StarCraft 2 had been the holdout, but I believe its star has dwindled a fair bit. Company of Heroes was the zenith for me, and C&C3/RA3 were fun distractions but that has kinda been it. Petroglyph studio are still chucking

And I like Ministry and all, but Trent has more talent in his big toe than that entire band. IMHO, of course...
