I think EVERYONE’S twitter benefits from a little drunk tweeting every now and then.

“I mean, their street smarts are YOOOOGE. Tremendous street smarts from these women.”
Perhaps the column is meant more to be humorous than to dole out actual legal advice.
That I could understand, and it’s a legitimate criticism. But so far both Gawker Media articles have seemed to focus on “HA LOOK AT THIS SOBBING GIRL. OH BOO HOO DON’T LIKE SOCIAL MEDIA JOIN THE CLUB” which is like, what? Why?
I couldn’t tell how old the last woman I saw doing it was, but I would def say “too old to be doing that”. She was definitely not a 15 year old. She was a grown ass woman.
Every time I get on a plane these days I see multiple girls taking like dozens of selfies trying to capture the perfect one while people are all trying to find their seats. It’s bizarre. How much of what people are doing is just to show other people what they’re doing?
It’s kind of weird that Gawker Media is directing so much snark at this teenager who at least seems to have realized that the world she was caught up in was not healthy and wishes to convey that message to others.
He did? Well I’m an idiot.
I honestly can’t tell if the tone of your article is sarcastic, because it seems perfectly clear what is going on in the video.
These people SHOULD absolutely be grilling these candidates. If a moderator is “frustrating” and “irritating” then GOOD, they are doing their jobs.
This stupid fucker. Go away.
Fair enough. I mean, I am genuinely sorry because it’s not typically my intention to hurt anyone’s feelings. But I stand by my points. But I get what you’re saying.
Oh, genuinely sorry. I thought you were responding to a different comment. I can never keep track of that.
I’ve committed to everything I’ve said. If it stinks like a non-apology, maybe it’s because I didn’t apologize for anything.
Yeah, I can dig that. Good explainer.
I guess I don’t see snark on the same level as shouting in caps lock. I usually intend my snark to at least be somewhat playful, though I suppose that’s not the way it’s universally interpreted. So I could see why it wouldn’t seem welcoming from that perspective.
Ugh we’re getting into semantics now?
I honestly think the best discussions don’t happen in kinja comment sections. Not that it can’t happen, I just think when a bunch of virtual strangers are talking, not everyone is going to be on the same page necessarily in terms of tone and intent. My response, as I’ve already acknowledged, was a snarky jab. I don’t…
I would say it’s at least as effective as CAPS LOCK YELLING, if not moreso.
Yes, in this case it’s pretty clear she’s bringing attention to the content of someone else’s tweet and I guess we could say she agrees with it.
