I agree, I just think the headline is making it seem like ANYONE made a clear statement about this, when they didn’t. EDIT except O’Malley, actually.

I mean fine, yell if you want, and if you genuinely think that’s the best way to have a discussion.

Okay, first of all, stop yelling. Second of all, this headline is the one moving the goalposts. I’m not some kind of Bernie-is-the-second-coming dude, you’re just assuming that apropos of nothing.

one was a directed retweet of someone else’s response to the actual incident that says nothing about policy for the future and one was a vague statement about demilitarizing police that could or could not be a reaction to this video but is much further reaching than a simple retweet response to one singular incident.

When I was in high school, a lot of the girls I liked all were interested in older guys, and had creepy old dude BFs. It was fairly common (doesn’t make it right, I’m with you in the whole WHAT KIND OF DUDE IS DOING THIS arena).

That marathon line is GOLD.

It says his parents were trying to get the wages, and brought it to the company’s attention, almost a year ago. He started working in summer 2014, they inquired about wages in November the same year.

That’s the best thing I ever heard. I just had to settle for angrily looking up at it and wishing I had something to throw.

I’ve heard the Lancia Stratos is one of the most actively-trying-to-murder-the-driver cars around. I’ve always wanted one (like if I got mega rich suddenly) but wonder if it would seal my fate.

I was washing my car at my parents’ house the other day (they like me to check on it while they’re out of town) and some fuckin’ drone was buzzing around me the whole time. Like what the hell? Was this thing taking pictures of me? Why? I thought I spied the operators on the next street over, but didn’t feel like

Remember when they were gonna change their mascot to Admiral Ackbar? Still sour about that.

Thank you, you’re absolutely right and articulated exactly what made me kind of side eye this piece.

NPR has been covering the refugee crisis pretty consistently. I haven’t heard much focus on Hungary specifically in the last few days, but I’ve also been listening a bit less (rassa fraggin pledge drives, man). But morning NPR has focused a LOT on the refugee crisis and Syrian civil war.

It’s a little TOO on the nose. I know people who are exactly like the stars of that show, and it’s discombobulating to see them on a show.

I was willing to take her at her word that the baby made “two peeps” but later she herself describes the sound as a “wail”. I get her point about pursuing her dreams, but if everyone brought their baby to a public speaking event, and they all start wailing...it’s really just not an appropriate environment.

Ben Carson would have said, “I believe you want the Dodge Challenger over there.”

Did they baby “peep” or “wail”? And when exactly was she “asked to leave”? I don’t get what’s going on here.

Yeah, srsly. If Miley and her band want to be nude behind a wall of security guards, that’s one thing. The crowd of naked people? I’m skeptical.

A friend of mine went home with a group of guys and girls he’d met, and ended up very far from his own car with no real way of getting home, and they said he could crash there, and one woman kept offering her bed and repeatedly suggesting they sleep together. He refused her advances over and over again, went to sleep,

If we’re lucky. I can think of a couple of choice words that are even worse that seem right up his alley.
