A lot of States have laws that you can keep misdelivered packages, regardless of to whom they are addressed. That’s why you ALWAYS buy the insurance. :)

I think if the item was addressed to him, and it was delivered to him,  he doesn’t have to return it even if he did not order it or pay for it.  The delivery service is at fault.   It is this way to prevent mail fraud.  It is very possible for a delivery driver to claim he dropped something off at a certain house, …

If it was delivered to his house and was addressed to him he's not only going to have 2 awesome TV's, he's also going to have a really nice settlement from the police for wrongful arrest.

I don’t see any value whatsoever in this proposal. How many people are DDing their Miata in areas that get snow? I did for two years and never once wished for AWD or more grip in general. I got a decent set of winter tires and had an absolute blast in the worst weather that we had had in years.

Or... alternatively, you died because the plane that would’ve crashed the day before was saved because of a pilot that just by chance of luck hitched a ride, and happened to know how to fix the problem, leaving the plane to nosedive to its doom the next time it was flown.
